maisonette flat (4th and 5th floor connected by a staircase within the flat), right in the hip district Prenzlauer Berg. Quiet and safe (in the backyard), 5 min to S-bahn/tube station Schönhauser Allee, 5 min to the Mauerpark with the famous Flohmarkt on Sundays. Lots of cafes (free W-Lan) and restaurants around the corner on Gleimstrasse and Stargarder Strasse.
The flat is fully equipped (well, i live there :-)) - flatscreen TV, hi-fi stereo in living and bath room, huge record collection, dish washer, washing machine. I provide you with linen and towels.
For one-two persons it's luxury - double bed in the sleeping room upstairs, 40m2 living room downstairs. As an exception two more persons could stay downstairs in the living room on matrazes and the couch. But then you should be friends - as both rooms are connected by the stairs.
I am travelling regularly and could thus provide my flat while I am not there. I speak German, Russian and English.
It's quite a lot of stairs and there is no lift. So it's not really suitable for physically handicapped.
Any guy that puts his music collection in alphabetical order and wires speakers into his bathroom deserves some respect!
We had a really great time at Armin's apartment, despite not getting to meet him, we arranged a way to get his keys to us weeks in advance. Communication was great too, he always responded to questions we had within a few hours.
Located in our favourite district in Berlin, his apartment is surrounded by nice cafes, restaurants and bars. Schönhauser Allee U-Bahn station is a 5-10 minute walk away which connects you with Alexanderplatz really easily - which is good for getting to/from the airport.
As for the apartment itself, it's a great size for 2 people looking to spend a few days away. Very quiet, no noise from the neighbours or traffic. We made great use of the kitchen and cooked on a few occasions, as well as making the most of his great music collection.
I like to visit Berlin fairly often, and Armin's place is somewhere I would definitely stay in again, if the opportunity arose.
Oh yeah, and thanks for the welcome bottle of wine!
Armin is very welcoming! His apartment is very nice and located in a very nice area of Berlin. We enjoyed the many CD left at our disposal. We recommend this location!
Armin's flat was amazing. We really felt like home, and most of the nights we dicided to stay in, as we felt so confortable, chilling in the living room, listening to the great collection of Armin's music (which by the way, you can also listen to from the bathtub). Very well connected with S-bahn and U-bahn, in a nice residential area. It's a shame we didn't get the chance to meet him, but he left all the instructions we needed, maps and other stuff to visit Berlin. We'd definitely choose this house again for our next trip to Berlin. Thanks for everything Armin
Apartment was perfect! We only stayed 2 nights but Armin was a brilliant host and explained everything about the place when we collected the keys. We felt very welcome and some food and drinks were even left in the fridge for us. The amazing music collection and DJ decks were a highlight!
We had a great Time in Armins Appartement. Though it is located very central it is super quiet.
Best Part of it was definatley the huge cd and Vinyl Collection.
Unfortunately we could not meet Armin personally, but he arranged everything perfectly for us!
We highly recommend his Place for your stay in Berlin :)
Armin's house was great and in an interesting and convenient location! Armin was also very nice and helpful, punctual and interesting. I strongly suggest the flat- no doubt about it!
Me and my partner spent a weekend in Berlin, living in Armins apartment. Everything went very smoothly, Armin is so helpful and his apartment is great, quiet, beautiful with lots of music to listen to. Unfortunately, we never got to meet Armin, since he was out of town, but he arranged so we could pick up the keys at a place nearby his apartment. We very much recommend anyone to stay at Armin's place.
We had a great time in Armin´s aparment. Armin was very friendly in advance and explained us everything altough we unfortunately didn´t meet him. The apartment itself was very cozy, calm, nicely furnished and had an impressive music library :-) the location is great. lot of little restaurants and cafés. it´s very close to the mauerpark where you can find a flee market every sunday. we would recommend this place at any time!
