As a result of our combined Danish-Singaporean cultures, our dream space materialized into a very consistent light-oriented Scandinavian aesthetic. The space took 3 months to renovate; and we have designed everything from scratch, including the dividing sliding door and open windows.

No matter how energy-efficient the air conditioner is, that is still energy unnecessarily wasted and contributed to our devastating global warming situation.
This is a beautiful and huge apartment, very well equipped and masses of space. It's in a great location minutes from Soho, and was incredibly clean on arrival.
Beautiful space in Chinatown, close to Lower East Side and East Village and super close to the subway (so easy to get to the city!). The actual street level of this place is definitely Chinatown so if you're wanting to stay in the very heart of it all and step out into trendy cafes this is not the place. But it's central to everything and quiet for a good sleep. The space is huge too, which is nice but you really don't spend any time in the apartment except for sleep when you visit NYC! The hosts are really nice and helpful and leave you to do your own thing.
My stay was perfect. Zi and Jens were extremely accommodating to all my needs. They went out of their way to be helpful and were very flexible with my schedule. The space is cozy and the wood burning stove was perfect. Comfortable bed, great shower. All in all 5 stars. Many thanks.
Zi and Jens were away the time we stayed but she asked the cleaning lady Raquel to meet us with the keys when we arrived. As probably mentioned before, there are a lot of stairs to climb so bear in mind!
As to the apartment - gorgeous! Very spacious, a paired back, stylish, loft type apartment that gets beautiful light the sunny mornings we were fortunate to have. The kitchen was well equipped should you want to cook - and again, very big!
The location was fantastic, at the tip of Chinatown it's a short walk to Soho, East Village and more. Loads of great asian food stores/supermarkets to pick up groceries if you'd like to cook. I'd never considered staying in Chinatown, but after this trip I'd rather stay Downtown!
All in all a superb apartment. Would definitely stay here agin - thank you so much!
