“I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself:” - Maya Angelou

Welcome to your home away from home. Relax, as you sit atop our handmade eucalyptus benches listening to the running waters of the Inkan aqueducts beneath you while you marvel at the stunning view of the ancient Inkan monuments. The location of our Casa is ideally situated on a cobblestone pedestrian street in the “old town” section of Ollantaytambo, just 5 minutes from the Plaza and all attractions. In the morning after checking your email for we have WiFi throughout the house, enjoy a tasty breakfast of eggs, fresh warm rolls and local organic jams. During the day, we’d be happy to help you organize unique excursions to amazing local sites that are off the beaten path. In the evening, enjoy a cup of warm tea from our kitchen, watch a DVD in our cozy living room or gaze at the stars from our rooftop nook. Finally retire to our beautiful and traditional Quechua (Inkan) handcrafted beds with high quality mattresses for a good night’s sleep. Once you’ve stayed with us you will know why we are called Casa de Wow!!!

Pachamama Matrimonial Room… Pachamama is quechua for Mother Earth or Cosmic Mother. This room has high vaulted ceilings with sky lights for a bright airy feel. It has an incredible “Wow made” tree frame bed with a double high quality mattress and wool blankets for warmth and natural comfort. Each side of the bed has a reading light and a bed-side table and each sleepy head gets two pillows. A private bathroom is attached with gas-fed 24 hour hot water shower.

Location Information:
Once considered an afternoon stop-over on the way to MachuPicchu, more and more visitors are deciding to make Ollantaytambo the primary destination from whence they can experience the Sacred Valley and all it has to offer. In contrast to Cuzco, the small village atmosphere, lower altitude and easy access to incredible hikes has prompted many of our guests to feel more comfortable here and thus extend their stay. Ollantaytambo is called “the last living Inka village” as it has been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. It was the town for the Inkan Nobility and High Priests and once you are here it is hard not to notice the magic. So come walk the streets of gigantic jigsaw stonework or try some chichi (Inka Beer- fermented corn) with the indigenous people who are the direct descendents of the Inkas. Let us introduce you to some of these wonderful local people who can guide you into their world, provide cultural connection within traditional communities where tourist seldom venture and lead you on stunning treks through the natural wonder.
