  • Great little apartment, clean and compact, yet feels quite spacious, and easily enough room for a couple to stay here comfortably. Basic kitchen facilities, but more than enough for us to prepare breakfast and the occasional snack if we were there, but if you're staying in this area you'll most likely be eating out anyway, and on that note, the location is pretty awesome. Right in the heart of Kreuzberg and all the bars, restaurants, and nightlife that comes with it, just over 5 mins walk to the nearest Ubahn station with access to the rest of the city, and a stone's throw away from Görlitzer park, which I'm sure is great in the summer. Strictly business, so there will be no one to meet and greet you, but the system works perfectly, and let's be fair, who doesn't research a little where they'll be visiting/dining/etc anyway. I'd stay here again. Recommended.

  • Great wee apartment, lovely and warm with everything that you need. Very easy to find and get keys. Really quiet at night which is great. Location was amazing, so close to all transport systems and kreuzberg is a really fun place! Will definitely try and stay here again in the future.

  • Nice studio for a (short) stay in Berlin. It is not very big, but all the 'essentials' are there. A supermarket is at walking distance as are the U- and S-lines. Good value for money.

  • We had a lovely stay in this apartment in Berlin. Comfortable and clean apartment with useful amenities, good wifi! Fantastic bohemian location, close to some cool affordable restaurants, bars and supermarket. excellent transport links for getting around the city. A lot of people Do hang around outside the apartment and next to the park during the day and at night but we never felt threatened by them In any way an we were never approached by anyone either, it was just a little unnerving at first but it would be the same in any city, no different than some parks in Glasgow!!

  • RENTER BEWARE: We recently stayed in this area of Kreuzberg at Ben's apartment and we found out that his place is only a block away from Gorlitzer Park, which is RAMPANT with drug dealers, burn-outs and anarchists. All of which DO NOT like tourists and there is a very anti-tourist sentiment in this neighborhood. We didnt only feel it but found it in our research too. We were uncomfortable from the get-go (and I was raised in 1980's New York, so I'm not a delicate wallflower) After arriving, we went out to dinner that night and were confronted by one of the charming druggies from Gorlitzer Park and he followed us, got in my boyfriend's face and yelled at us in German. He was also part of a group of thugs that were sitting across the street from our apartment building 24/7. As a tourist, you are not welcome there. Dont stay here. While Im at it, this is a badly lit building. There are stretches of big, pitch-black hallway to walk through. When arriving at night, as a woman, it feels unsafe and like a perfect spot for someone to just sit and wait for people. This is apparently a really bad area of Kreuzberg, right around Gorli Park. The other part of Kreuzberg might be better. We were so uncomfortable, we left after one night and went to a hotel in Mitte. And while Im at it, the shower drain is completely clogged and the hair dryer doesnt work. It is not maintained well by Ben.

    Response from Ben:

Dear Airbnb community, First of all, I used to live in the building right above the mentioned apartment and loved my neighbourhood. I also lived in the States for a long and can compare the two. If you are coming from a European city, you will be comfortable here. US guest don’t always feel comfortable here. (website hidden) Kreuzberg before you book this apartment. You will either like it or not. It is a very mixed neighbourhood that is leaning politically way on the left wing (European left wing/ not US left wing J) and is extremely liberal. People that come here usually come to stay in Kreuzberg and not somewhere else in Berlin. You will get the full load of real Berlin including its night life and the liberal drug scene. GörlitzerPark is probably the largest drug dealing place in Europe. It has 100’s of drug dealers at anytime that are well connected and run the park pretty professionally. From my experience, they are polite and have absolutely no interest in harming you. Their big business is selling drugs to the tourist and the last thing they want is to scare them away. You can simply avoid all of them by not walking into the park. J

  • This apartment is in a great location with subway stations nearby and tons of restaurants and bars. Beds are comfortable and bedding and towels were super clean. The rest of the apartment was really clean too. Communication with Ben was great. Would love to stay here again if I'm ever back in berlin!
