The Space

The private room is my living room that has a comfortable couch that makes out into a queen sized bed and sleeps 1 or 2 people. If 2 people want separate beds, I have a twin airbed that will also fit into the same room. If 3 people want to stay, 2 must sleep on the queen bed, and 1 can sleep on the airbed. I put up a privacy screen that makes the room private for you. The living room has a 48" flat screen TV with digital cable, wireless internet connection and a shared bathroom. Clean, fresh linens & towels are provided. I live in a 1326 square foot double wide mobile home. This is my home, and I live in the master bedroom. I have a male renter in the other bedroom. This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath home. I have a small chihuahua dog who is low key & friendly once she gets to know you.

This home is easily accessible from the following freeways: Interstate 5, Interstate 15 Interstate 805, Highway 163 or Highway 52. You can park in front of the house for loading & unloading and free parking is available about 150 feet away.

Breakfast items are provided for guests of up to 7 days/ one week. Longer term guests will be provided cupboard & refrigerator space for personal food items.

If needed, San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (the local bus & trolley system) can be reached by walking 0.5 miles (0.8km) from the house. Easy connections to all locations within the Metropolitan San Diego area including several beaches and all the way to the border with Mexico can be easily reached.

Guest Access

I make every effort to meet each guest personally. Guests are given a key so they can come and go as they please. They have access to the entire house - except for my master bedroom & bathroom.

Interaction with Guests

I enjoy getting to know my guests. I know the entire San Diego County and Southern California quite well - having lived and worked in Los Angeles , Riverside and Palm Springs. I am willing and able to give advice about things to see and do - and how to get there. I will offer my advice if it is requested.

Other Things to Note

  • Mark's place was really good value compared to other places in San Diego. Mark is a really nice guy who took the time to explain the attractions in San Diego and is just a nice guy to get to know. He has a small dog called Precious who was lovely as well.

  • Mark was super easy-going, hospitable, and literally the best host. I have never use air bnb before and he put a great impression on bed and breakfasts. His dog, Precious, is just the most precious pooch ever once she gets to know you. I highly recommend Mark if you're staying in San Diego. Everything was conveniently close.

  • if u are hesitating then just get some expierence over there!

mark was so kind and generous and he knew how to deal with it he even had a manual book that he wrote by himself!
i know, if u are a female u would hesitate more but u don't have to. he would make u feel comfortble. i mean "really." ;-)

and his little dog was very likeable and the terrace was awesome i liked there sooo much
    u would like it !

but one thing that u would be surprised will be that u have to stay in his living room, not private room and u would sleep on the couch not the bed. at first i thought it would be uncomfortable, but after one overnight, i thought i already used to it!

and he made towels for us so u dont have to worry about dirt! it makes me feel fresh!

if u stay there, u would miss it
    dont hesitate any more ;-)

  • Mark is a very nice host and we share his room for 2 nights and we almost occupied his whole hall but we still got enough privacy. He got very busy in taking care of his brother in the hospital and got back home quite late but he still helped us a lot in introducing the city fun. the home made orange juice are very fresh. We also met another mate Suhail and communicate a lot in one night to share interesting discovery from different backgrounds.

  • Mark was the perfect host, always available to communicate with & plenty of advice on the local area. The location of his Kearny Mesa house could not be better, 5 min walk to the market, bus stops and restaurants. Cute quiet place with all the basics you need. Would definitely recommend. Precious the dog is so lovely and funny. And Mark's Hash Brown should be in the Michelin Restaurants Guide

  • It was a pleasure staying with Mark and his oh so lovely dog Precious. He is a very personable host and made me feel comfortable the moment I arrived. He was very accommodating and generous with his space. I have even offered to dog sit for his dog she is such a sweetheart. Thank you Mark for sharing your time. Enjoyed listening to your singing and piano playing. Take Care,

  • Mark is a great host. He's a humble, kind, good man, and very generous with sharing his space. My stay there was great.

Mark has a small dog. I made the mistake of trying to pet Mark's dog when Mark wasn't around and getting bit. So lesson learned - from the perspective a small dog, my size was threatening so he bit me. So my suggestion is, be careful about petting the dog when Mark isn't around. The dog is a sweet dog, probably just a bit insecure of people other than his owner. The dog is not intrusive, not a yapper, and Mark takes him to his room at night, so I wouldn't let this influence you about your stay. I would have no hesitation about staying with Mark again.
