About this listing
My very sunny 1 bedroom apartment is waiting for you. I have 270 degrees of windows with southern facing exposure, affording direct sunlight from sun up to sun down. The place is fully furnished (including queen size bed, gas stove, bathtub, and extra single bed in in living room), with hardwood floors and a huge backyard. Every room, including the kitchen and living room has a door allowing for additional privacy if more than one person were to stay here. They kitchen is so big I have a love seat in it.
Wireless internet is available as well as a land line with free local and national calling. Parking is readily available and for an extra fee a spot directly in-front of the building can be arranged.
the atmosphere is very peaceful and meditative with altars in every room, lost of plants and art/decorations from my travels around the world.
I am one of two apartments on the second floor of a quiet fourplex, tucked away on a small alley just 1 block from San Pablo Ave and University Ave in Berkeley. There is a large backyard that you are welcome to use.

Other Things to Note
Once you make your reservation you will receive a very detailed Welcome Letter telling you everything you need to know to be happy in my home. It also includes some notes on how to care for my plants (if you are here for more than 3-4 days. it takes less than 5 minutes a week) and a few other quirks. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THIS WELCOME LETTER RIGHT AWAY and make sure everything makes sense and you can work with the quirks. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable with any of the information, please let me know within 48 hours of making your reservation. We can then try to find a work around OR I will gladly cancel your reservation so you do not have to endure the cancellation penalty. Miakoda provide excellent, detailed directions and instructions for the space. As the location was new to me and as a solo traveler, she provided specific, detailed directions and my transport from the local airport was smooth, inexpensive and utilized convenient public transportation, alleviating any anxieties and increasing my safety. People in the area were very helpful. For example, several people stood up to give me and other individuals seats on the bus or BART.
The community feel was supportive and set a family tone of a sense of community which was welcoming.
This was the initial contact with Miakoda and reflected a mutually supported community.
Miakoda's wonderful sunny home was welcoming...I truly felt like her guest. She provided us detailed instructions including directions to/from BART, and left us items she thought we might need (coffee filters, coffee, etc). Her apartment is in a wonderful location. If business or pleasure takes you to Berkeley, I suggest you stay at Miakoda's place if it is available!
Miakoda was flexible and helpful. Cute spot
I was so grateful that Miakoda made the place available for me, despite my last minute request. The space is welcoming, warm, and beautiful. It was wonderful to have a soothing sanctuary to stay in, versus and sterile hotel room. I appreciate her cleanliness and attention to detail. I would welcome the opportunity to stay there again. Thank you
The place was in a great location walking distance to the University and had everything I needed to make the most of my time there. Koda was very responsive and quite helpful.
Thanks for the great stay!
This place has personality. It's thoughtfully arranged and was a very pleasant and comfy home-away-from-home for my two week visit. I enjoyed interesting food choices nearby and easy walk to BART. Miakoda was informative and attentive from offsite.
Miakoda has a very lovely place that she has clearly put a lot of time and intention into. The place is very clean, sunny and is near most everything in Berkeley. As a host I did not meet her but she was very considerate and thoughtful. Highly Recommend!
