The Space

Let me start by saying that I, am the manager of the condo for my client, who is a public figure who needs privacy online. The have filled out most of what is written below. My client is often away on business, and I take care of the rental situation. You will be mainly dealing with me. Contact me for more details and more photos of the unit.

I, Paula am no longer managing this listing. You will be connecting directly with the male owner/resident. He will be contacting you directly.

I hope you all enjoy your stay in Toronto. I have had so much fun meeting you all! :)

NOTE: If you don't need the whole two-bedroom place and just need a private bedroom and private bathroom and don't mind my client living in the other bedroom, you could book the guest room for a cheaper rate, via the other ad under my profile.

Okay, here is what you get! --->

YOU GET: 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo. Both rooms have a Queen-size, pillow top mattress, 2 nightstands with drawers. I provide clean, fresh white linens on the bed, and all the clean, white plush towels you need (bath size, personal size and face cloth). There are two full bathrooms, one is ensuite as part of the main bedroom, the other is beside the guest room. I have hotel size body wash, soap and shampoo if you need it.

NO SMOKING: No smoking in the unit. No smoking on the balcony. I'd actually prefer people who don't smoke at all, because the smell stays on your clothes and body.

ABOUT THE UNIT: The condo unit is large, and has a huge balcony overlooking a fun, busy street. The windows and balcony give you the best view of the city you could ask for.

BUILDING AMENITIES: Bring your bathing suit and gym clothes, because the condo has a pool, hot tub and gym.

YOU CAN USE: Please enjoy full use of the kitchen. Full set of dishes, glasses, mugs, cutlery. Kettle. Fridge, stovetop, microwave oven. I've also got a washer/dryer if you want to do laundry. I have some umbrellas. And shopping carts, if you want to walk to get groceries. If there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to ask me.

ECO AND ALLERGY FRIENDLY: I keep the condo non-toxic, eco-friendly and scent-free. The sheets/towels are washed in scent-free, eco-friendly detergent. The hand soap is natural and non-toxic.

PARKING: I can rent you the parking spot I own for an extra $15 a night.

TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM AIRPORT: Paula has a car and is sometimes available to provide a ride to or from the airport for less than a cab. Alternately, a cab from Pearson Airport is about $55 plus tip. Or you can take a TTC bus and subway.

NEIGHBOURHOOD: We are in the heart of downtown Toronto, steps from theatres, CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, etc.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • J. was very quick in responding to all the questions I had about the place. The condo was extremely clean and in a great location downtown. Hoping to film there again in the near future!

  • Everything was as as described and as scheduled with no hassle. My family was very comfortable.
The unit is great - views, layout, appliances all good.

The location is top notch as well. The TIFF building has plenty to offer right inside the building, including movies, exhibitions, restaurants. There is also a great little grocery store just down the street which was handy.

I would stay here again without any concerns.

  • A couple of friends and and I recently stayed here to attend an event at the Rogers centre. The location and the condo are amazing. Josh was super easy to deal with and is a very cool guy. We definitely all had a blast!

  • Magnificent appartment for 4, perfectly located downtown above the TIFF/Bell LightBox. Fantastically light and airy with well proportioned rooms, well fitted kitchen and all requirements provided for. The only drawback is the plastic clad balcony, not the owner's fault. Wonderful and easy to love.

    Response from Jennifer:

Thanks, Paul! And the building's balcony glass will be repaired by the end of the month, so there will be no drawbacks at all. :)

  • Wow, what a location. If you are going to Toronto for a convention, then almost all of your social activities will happen essentially within a quick walk of Josh's place. Staying at Josh's is like staying with a good friend, he helps acquaint you with the city and sets you up for a great stay. The building is amazing with a cool places to hang out and a great pool deck.

suffice it to say, very satisfied.

  • What can I say that I haven't already said about Josh's patience and generosity as a host except to multiply it in this instance? His lair was subjected to a procession of models for two long days in a row, and his space turned upside down to accommodate all the photo equipment and strobes. I think he ought to list his unit in the OMDC locations database. Until then, it's my little secret gem for stills creatives.

  • Josh has this uncanny ability to control weather and provide clear skies and sun all day, each day I book his place to shoot. Which is perfect because of the abundance of windows. I'd love to know his secret.

  • This condo is in one of Toronto's top locations. It is a South/West corner unit with nice views. Yes you can see the CN tower directly South not far away above some other buildings. The floor Josh's unit is located on is neither too high nor too low.

Many of Toronto's best entertainment attractions, theaters, performing arts and restaurants are at the doorstep. Shopping is nearby. The King West/young professional restaurant, lounge and clubbing scene is a short couple blocks away. Subway access is 3 blocks away and streetcar is at your doorstep on King. Access to the underground PATH system is just across the street through Metro Hall.

I booked this unit for my camera crew who flew in from Quebec City to stay while we shot condominium locations and interviews with prominent industry leaders throughout the city. I work for the largest pre-construction condominium sales company in Toronto.

    Josh was accommodating and helpful.

    January 2012
  • Josh was a fantastic host and had a great apartment in a fantastic location. Very easy check-in and check-out process and Josh was attentive to questions I had throughout the stay via text.

I'd recommend staying there to anyone looking for a great apartment, great location, and a great host.

  • It's fun to use AirBnB for purposes other than which it's intended -- especially when your host is Josh. His unenviable location and view made it hard to resist booking another photo shoot there with a beautiful model. As you can imagine, it's win-win for us both.

I manage the condo for a male friend of mine. He's the owner and resident of the condo, so you'll be staying with him when you book for the shared accommodations. He's very friendly, funny, creative and lives an amazingly interesting life. He's a bit of a public figure, so doesn't want his profile on here. But message me and I can send you his info. If you're into creative and world-changing pursuits like acting, screenwriting, song writing, comedy, progressive politics, environmentalism... You'll enjoy networking with him!
