There is free parking in the street in front of the house.
Guests are free to use the pool at any time. Television is available in the main house, by arrangement. We have free wifi.
We will interact with our guests depending on your needs.
We are situated in a cul-de-sac at the top of "vibey" Kloof Street; you can walk anywhere from our front door. You can cook in, or go out to the many cafes and restaurants on your doorstep.
All the well known attractions are 5-10 minutes by car - Table Mountain, beaches, Waterfront and city centre.
The neighbourhood is a restored smart older area with steepish streets reminiscent of San Francisco, right under Table Mountain and with great views of the mountain and city.
Walk or take the new bus service or a taxi, which are plentiful.
The MyCiti bus stop is 100 metres from our front door. This service connects to the airport with one change and takes about 1 hour. The airport is only 20 minutes away by taxi. Please contact us for more detailed information and directions.
It is safe to walk the streets and we do it all the time.
As the cottage is right next to the pool, you might find us occasionally cleaning the pool or cooling down, though we do try and stay out of your way when you are home.
Stephen might be working in his vegetable garden, from which we love our guests to also pick.
Laundry is done at no extra cost
Allthough the space in the cottage itself is rather moderate, this is fully compensated by the very spacious room in the house, where one can watch the TV and the Wifi.
Both cottage and the spacious room in the house are very beautifully furnished so much so that we felt at home immediately.
During the month that we spent there, we got to know Connie and Stephen as wonderful hospitable people always ready to help with
anything. Trudy and Lars.
Connie was the perfect host - incredibly welcoming and helpful - and the house is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. I would come back to stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.
Connie and Stephen were very welcoming hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The property is well appointed and is well positioned next to some of the best restaurants in Cape Town. We would highly recommend this property.
I booked for Kiwi family to stay at Connie's gorgeous garden cottage. I cannot speak highly enough of both the accommodation and Connie, as host. My Cape Town guests absolutely loved their stay - the privacy, the setting, proximity to the city and easily accessible public transport, not to mention Connie's care and bubbly personality. Highly recommended. I will definitely be booking with Connie again.
Connie was so warm and welcoming - the perfect host! Their place was exactly what I needed... I honestly couldn't have asked for anything better!
