Temple Bar apt., Dublin city centre

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Essex Street West, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, Dublin, Ireland

This lovely one bedroom apartment is conveniently located in the heart of Dublin's city centre cultural quarter Temple Bar. It is a quiet, peaceful haven overlooking a courtyard and surrounded by all Dublin has to offer!

The Space

This is a gorgeous apartment in the heart of Dublin city centre. Although it is located in the popular Temple Bar, it is in the quieter part of the area. Thus it has the benefit of being very centrally located, but also a peaceful retreat during your time in Ireland's capital city. It really has the best of both worlds!
It's a spacious one bedroom apartment, with one large bedroom with plenty of storage and a day bed that can be used as a single bed or extended to a double bed if required. Thus the apartment can sleep up to four people.
In addition to the bedroom, there's a bathroom with both bath and shower, as well as a kitchen / dining / living room, which contains the day bed.

Guest Access

In addition to the apartment itself, guests will have access to the courtyard, which is shared among the apartment complex residents.

Interaction with Guests

I look forward to meeting you on your arrival and showing you around the apartment and providing information on local sights and amenities. I'll be available by phone and email during the duration of your stay and hope to make your holiday in Dublin as enjoyable as possible.

The Neighborhood

The apartment is on a pedestrianised street, close to a main street (and thus convenient for a variety of public transport), and overlooks a private courtyard. Across the courtyard is a yoga studio and massage centre, handy if you fancy a yoga class or massage.
The immediate surrounding area comprises a number of small shops, museums, theatres, cafes and restaurants, as well as a market on Saturdays.

Getting around

Being in the city centre, the apartment is close to bus stops, the Luas (tram), and the city's two main train stations. Buses to and from the airport also pass close by, and much of the city centre is easily accessible by foot.

  • Staying at Helens place was really great. The size was perfect for 3 people, and it's located very central, yet very calm. It's equipped with everything you need, the only thing we were missing a little was a radio or something to have some music, but as Dublin is so nice, we didn't spend much time in the appartment anyway so this wasn't really a problem. And we could use basic things she had in the kitchen, especially the tea was really delicious :)

  • Helen was a wonderful host and I only wish we had more time to stay at her lovely apartment. We stayed on a quick layover for just over 12 hours on our last night in Ireland and chose it because of the fantastic location in Temple Bar. I couldn't be more pleased with our choice!

Helen was understanding and flexible when we took a bit longer to drive in to town than we'd planned, gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant just around the corner where we enjoyed a nice Italian meal, and made sure that we had information and maps for the surrounding areas to really maximize our time before our flight. After our dinner we walked to a local pub to listen to live music and to enjoy a final pint of Guinness.

Public transport and taxis are all easily accessible from the apartment and everything was tidy and functional, true to the photos. Mahalo!

  • I am very happy with the stay in the Helen's apartment

The apartment was clean and comfortable and it has a fantastic location close to the Temple Bar Zone in the center of Dublin. The connexion with the airport is very fast with a bus line. The apartment is very quiet because has interior orientation, light and a great bathroom

Helen is a very kind and helpful girl. She made that my friends and me had a comfortable days in Dublin because she had many courteous communications with us during the previous days to the reservation and between the arrive to the apartment and the leave

Helen, you have a good friends in Madrid

    Thank you so much
    See you!!

  • Had a lovely stay, although unfortunately short stay with Helen over St Patrick's weekend. Her flat, although not massive, was certainly very clean and comfortable, and in a fantastic location where everything is easily within reach. Helen made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and well settled, was prompt and courteous with all her communications, and certainly very likable. Am very happy with my stay and would be very happy for another opportunity to stay at Helen's sometime in the future. Thank you!

  • Fantastic location to visit Dublin and go out at night, yet the flat is so quiet! Really the best of both worlds given the area. Lovely bakery literally just downstairs. Helen is also very kind and helpful. Great experience :)

  • We had a wonderful stay at Helen's apartment. The location was fantastic and within walking distance to everywhere we needed to go in Dublin so perfect if you are only there for a few days and want to make the most your stay.

Helen was incredibly accommodating and was happy to answer any questions we had as well as providing lots of handy recommendations.

As the second bed is in the living room, the flat is probably best suited to couples. We had 4 people (so two in each bed) which was a bit of a tight squeeze but fine if it's just for a short period.

The only fault I could find is that the wi-fi is not very strong and only accessible in certain areas of the flat. But we had a great time and would highly recommend, Helen could not be a more gracious hostess!

  • I almost hate to leave this review because then Helen's place might always be booked when I need it in the future. The apartment is in a great location. So much to do and see within walking distance, lots of people watching, but nice and quiet when you're ready to call it a night. I loved it. Slept so well! Helen was so nice and easy to communicate with. She made sure I had everything I needed before she left, and was always within a quick text message or phone call. My only regret was not staying longer! I hope to stay there whenever I go to Dublin.

  • Helen was really friendly and was well prepared so that we could find our way around the city. She was very accommodating to our late check in and early checkout.
