We rented this apartment for the weekend on St. Patrick’s Day. Helen’s place is in an incredible location. It was nice to be able to have a place to rest after a long day so close to our activities. The building itself was a little cold and the apartment was on the colder side as…
Response from Helen:
Hi Aaron. Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you found the apartment a little cold, and the hot water ran out. This isn't feedback I have every received before. I did explain to your friend (who I did check in with, as he arrived earlier) how to both turn on the heating, and also to extend the hot water if necessary, but he mustn't have passed on this information to you. It's a pity, as both are really easy to do, and would have resolved your issues within minutes. I did also check in with you several times during your stay, and you didn't mention any of these issues, which again is a shame, as I would have been more than happy to let you know how to resolve them immediately. As you know, unfortunately my experience as a host for you and your friends wasn't the most positive one, with a number of house rules broken, including the presence of additional guests, which explicitly breaks Airbnb rules. I can't help but feel your somewhat critical review is due to anticipating my review, which is really disappointing. I would really encourage you to both abide by Airbnb rules in future, and also voice any issues you have with your accommodation during your stay, rather than telling your host everything was absolutely fine (which you did with me) and subsequently making criticisms without any merit on the public feedback.
