Spacious studio - private entrance!

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Redwood Road, Napa, CA 94558, United States

Great locale for wine tasting. Studio is a converted garage w/private entrance and your own bathroom. Comfy queen bed, sleeper sofa (perfect for small children), shower with great water pressure. Short walk to Trader Joes, restaurants, Starbucks.

The Space

We offer a large, spacious studio complete with a queen sized bed which comfortably fits two adults. The sofa turns into a full-sized futon for one adult (two if you're close : ) or two children. Within the studio, is an attached bathroom with stand up shower (shower has fabulous water pressure and hot, hot water).

During winter there are two large space heaters that will keep your toes warm when it's cold outside. In summer there will be a window unit Air Conditioner. And, of course, free wi-fi awaits you for all your web surfing needs.

There is a microwave and coffeemaker in the room for your convenience, as well as complimentary tea and coffee. A mini-fridge is available if you need to keep wine or food chilled. Please feel free to talk with me about laundry if you need to do a load, we have a washer and dryer on site.

Our space is perfect if you are looking to do Napa on a budget - it's not a fancy, snooty hotel, but it is a warm, comfortable space where you can rest your achy head after a day full of wine tasting.

BABYSITTING! I am available for babysitting if you have children. I have 17+ years of working with children and love to babysit kids of all ages. And I can provide tons of local references (both personal and private), so you can feel comfortable leaving the little one(s) here while you experience the one of a kind dining scene in the Napa Valley.

Guest Access

Please park in the driveway (we will always leave a spot open for you.)

Interaction with Guests

As a world traveller, I'm happy to talk with you and help you plan your trip (where to wine? where to dine? hikes? etc.). I have years and years of wine drinking experience : ) and have visited many of the wineries in the Valley - I'd love to throw out ideas if you aren't sure where to begin.

The Neighborhood

Best part of our neighborhood, besides being very safe, is it's location. We are within walking distance to Starbucks/ Peets/Whole Foods/Trader Joe's and many restaurants. Downtown is a quick 10 minute drive and we're 1/4 mile from HWY 29, the jumping off point to the wineries Upvalley. Pets welcome!

Getting around

Fabulous location near Hwy 29 and the VINE bus stop is across the street. We are a quick 7 minute drive to downtown Napa.

Other Things to Note

We welcome folks from all walks of life and consider ourselves gay-friendly (LGBT) - so long as you are caring and respectful, too, of the many choices that make each person interesting and unique!

  • Sara was a very gracious host and we loved the studio. The location is super ideal for traveling around Napa, Sonoma and the broader region! It was a quick ride to dinners we had planned in St. Helena and Yountville. It was helpful to be so close to walk to Trader Joe's and other stores as well. Highly recommend!

  • We had a great stay with Sara! A spacious room, comfortable bed, and the best rocking chair ever. Thank you Sara (and your family) for being such a gracious host and especially for going out of your way to store our Three Twins ice cream. :) We had a great stay and wonderful trip, and hope to return to California ASAP.

  • Sara was wonderfully accommodating with the pups, our late arrival and check out. Sadly we didn't get to meet up with her but she kindly left us coffee and milk in the fridge! The studio is large and airy, very clean and all you need for a weekend of gluttony such as the one we had! Just a perfect place to crash after multiple wine tastings. Location is perfect with easy access to the vineyards!

  • Very clean, very welcoming and quiet. We loved the location-- it was near the wineries that we were hoping to visit during the day, and by evening it was very close to our Yountville dinner. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

  • We had a great week end in Napa! The place is very spacious and clean and Sara is very welcoming. We wanted to have her look after our baby, so we had booked her for some babysitting, but unfortunately our baby was sick on the day, so we cancelled the babysitting, and Sara was very understanding. Thank you again Sara!

  • We stayed here last week and really enjoyed our stay! Perfect little studio in a great location. There were no issues checking in or out and everything is as described and depicted in the photos. Slept really well in the comfortable bed and had no noise issues at all. They even allowed our four-legged friend to stay for a small cleaning fee. For the price and location...why wouldn't you stay here?

Thank you Sara and the Vietti family for sharing your home and being such friendly hosts. We will definitely be back!

  • I didn't get to meet Sara in person, however she was very helpful in touching base before the stay, and giving directions to the studio. I spoke with her husband who was very nice and friendly and gave us some suggestions of things to do in the area. Overall a good experience and a nice place to stay.

  • Sara's hideaway guesthouse in Napa is a FIND! I needed a quiet place to sleep after working 2 days in the Napa Valley and this was a clean, quiet, simple and very affordable spot in a good location near to my work. I would recommend Sara's place (and what a nice family she has!) to anyone who wants to visit Napa on a budget and plans to spend most of their time seeing the sights and just needs a great hot shower, and a comfy place to rest their head at night. Thanks Sara!

  • Sara's place is beautiful. We we're just passing through but if I ever need a place to stay in Napa again, I will definitely contact Sara. It's super cozy and there are even some old VHS movies that make you reminisce. :)

About
I am from Napa, California where I started the Napa Alternative Mothers Group and work as a birth doula. I have two young children and a hard-working husband ... love to camp in my vintage trailer, hike, dance, garden, travel, and create community with friends who like to sit around a bonfire, drink good wine and beer and laugh a lot. Inspired by an airbnb stay in Boston, I am ready to be a host. As of November 2013, I am excited to offer an affordable and private stay in the Napa Valley. Can't wait to meet other travelers, help them have a fabulous stay, and hear their stories.
