How to get there
There are two easy ways to get to the house from the Fiumicino Airport:
1) you can take the train to Rome and get off at Termini station. From there you can take metro, line A, or the bus M4 until Ponte Lungo, then just 10 minutes walk down Circonvallazione Appia street and you are arrived. From Termini you can also take the bus N.360 and get off at Piazza Zama (bus terminal) that is just 2 minutes from the apartment.
2) From the same train as above get off at Tuscolana station then take on the left towards Ponte Lungo metro and then take Circonvallazione Appia.

From the Ciampino Airport there are two bus lines that go directly to Termini station: Terravision (€ 4) and SIT Bus Shuttle (€ 4) . If you choose Terravision remember to buy the ticket before getting on board, for SIT Bus Shuttle you can buy the ticket on board. From Termini you can follow the instructions reported above for those who land in Fiumicino.

The neighborhood
You can get to the Circo Massimo, Fori Imperiali and other great roman locations in a 30 minutes walk. If you don't want to walk much there is a metro station (Ponte Lungo) at 10 minutes and a bus terminal just round the (email hidden)ere is the biggest urban roman park with monuments that goes along the old roman street Appia. Just outside you can find everything you may need during your stay: supermarket, bank, bar, pharmacy, restaurants.

Complete and detailed information and maps to get to the apartment or to go to the main city's locations using public transport services are available on our web site: make a search using the keywords "b&b roman landscapes" (it's not possible to write web links inside airbnb).

  • Luigi was very good with his correspondence and sent an email to me prior to my stay to provide me with some tips and helpful information. I was greeted by his sister, Laura, who was very nice and friendly. It was hard to communicate with Laura because I know very little Italian and she speaks very little English. However, everything went smoothly and the area is very close to the buses that you need to get to the Colosseum, Roman Forums, Palatine Hill, Trevi Fountain, etc.

The room itself is very clean and breezy (perfect for the hot weather right now). We enjoyed our stay with Luigi and Laura!

  • Our experience at Luigi and Laura's was great.

The neighborhood is calm and has several nice and affordable restaurants.

And the room is spacious enough for two people.

  • Our week long stay in Rome was very nice, we never met Luigi but Laura (his sister, who stayed in the apartment) was there and very helpful. She did not speak English, but used (website hidden) translate :) so we were able to communicate. The apartment is not very central, 10-15 min walk from the Ponte Lungo metro station, ~30 min walk from the colosseum but we didn't mind getting around with the metro (although it doesn't run past 23:30).

  • The apartment was easy to find and in a great location. We had good communication and clear directions from Luigi, and had no problems finding the place.

We were met by Luigi's sister Laura when we got there, and she is absolutely lovely!!! Made us feel very at home and even et us in very late at night when we had some issues getting in the main door, and was very nice about it.

Had a great trip to Rome, would definitely recommend staying here for a great location at a great price!

  • Great place to stay for the price!! Very reliable and welcoming!! A short metro ride from all Rome has to offer.

  • Fantastic experience. Luigi was very responsive and helpful and Laura was friendly and welcoming. Description and pictures are accurate. Location is a little bit out of the way, but bus and metro stops are very close by (2/3 min walk). Also, Laura insisted on driving me into the center of the city one night - just one example of her generosity, and a great way to get a different perspective of the city! The building is a bit aged, but it was not at all run down and the accommodations were very clean. Can't say enough good things about the hosts!

  • Everything went ok, Laura is very charming, she made us visit a big part of town. You are amongst Romans in that borough, non touristic zone, which is a good think for us. Talking to her in italian was a good way to learn a few words.
