Johan welcomed us on arrival, and made us feel incredbily welcome (even though we were an hour late!) He was really friendly and showed us the studio and the facilities. The room is lovely, airy and spacious with lots of natural light. It's the perfect size for two people or a couple. The location is great, close enough to walk or get to the centre but just far enough so you aren't in the thick of it. It's in a really nice residential area, close to cafe's and restaurants.
I would definitley recommend this studio and Johan as a host! :)
Grazie Johan!!!!!

We stayed 3 days at Johan's place and were totally pleased with his fabulous studio. It was even more beautiful than in the pictures. It's an historical place with antique furniture, but modern bathroom and facitilites (e.g. NESPRESSO machine). Johan couldn't receive us in person because he wasn't in Amsterdam these days but he sent his assistant Erika who was very friendly and showed us the house without any hurry. The house is located in the southern part of the city center close to the Rijks-Museum and VanGogh-Museum. Of course there are more centrical apartments, but they are often in the crowded and noisy districts. In contrast Johan's place is located in a more quiet and less touristic area with small cosy cafés (we can really recommend "Back to Black") and restaurants. Altogether, we felt absolutely comfortable and we would definitely stay at Johan's place in a next visit to Amsterdam.
What an amazing place!! My husband and I absolutely loved Johan's apartment and would be back in a heartbeat! Way better than the pictures and every little detail is thought of from hair driers, to coffee and additional linen. Also in a perfect neighbourhood away from the tourist zones but close enough to walk to all the major (website hidden) Moustache - the local restaurant - is an absolute must!
The apartment was absolutely beautiful and very conveniently located within walking distance of the museum quarter. Johan was away travelling, but we were greeted by Erica, his assistant, who took care of our every need. Highly recommended!
Johans cute little apartment is really lovely. The quarter is fantastic, too. We felt very welcome & enjoyed our stay a lot. As long as you don't need a "real" kitchen Johan's flat is the perfect place to stay. We can really recommend it & will surely book it again.
The apartment was lovely and a pleasure to stay in. It was just as described, and we immediately felt at home. The last few stairs to the apartment are very steep and narrow but provide great character! Erica welcomed us to the apartment on Johan's behalf and she was very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic and we could walk to all the main tourist sites. We also just loved walking along the streets and canals. Thank you so much Johan for letting us stay in your beautiful house.
