This was a lovely place to stay, in a great location
Contact with Johan was very easy and uncomplicated - before arrival, during our stay and while leaving.
Studion was everything we expected. Very nice, clean, we felt like at home, also thanks to the Heineiken in the fridge upon arrival.
Location is absolutely perfect. Right in the city, a short walk to the Rembrandtplein and so on. Tram-stop just around the corner. Nevertheless, the studio is absolutely quiet and you can sleep very well in the big bed.
Also the informations about the bike-rental and so on were very helpful.
If you plan to do to Amsterdam - stay at Johans studio.
Johan's apartment is fantastic.
It's quiet both during the day and the night.
One wakes to the lovely welcoming chant of birds.
The location couldn't be better, a short walk to everywhere.
Utrecht street, just around the corner, has great bars, restaurants.
The Indian restaurant, The Golden Temple, has a resident dog, demanding attention.
For pet lovers like us, Amsterdam is unbeatable.
We met both Johan and Erica, both very friendly and lovely people.
One touristic advice: the Old Church is stripped almost bare, it's now basically an exhibition space for horrible, inept new art. Definitely not worth the 7.50 entry price.
Johan's place was beautiful, clean and relaxing. When we arrived, we thought the apartment looked better than the pictures! The house is also very conveniently located and close to many good restaurants, museums and attractions, while still being on a quiet street. We would definitely recommend Johan's studio to anyone visiting Amsterdam and would love the return in the future.
We loved staying in Johan's little apartment - great location within walking distance of all the main sights. It was really comfortable - beautifully decorated, lots of interesting books to read and an amazing south-facing window in the living area which was perfect to sit by in the sunshine, in the morning or when we got back after a day out, and watch the world go by outside.
Everything that one or two people could need as a homely base in Amsterdam for a few days - we would definitely recommend it.
Johans place is just amazing. Perfect for a couple or two friends. Everything looks like on the pictures and is very cosy and beautiful. Loved the Details in the room.
With this flat you are in the middle of Amsterdam. Restaurants, Supermarkets, ... everything is around and perfect for a great trip to Amsterdam.
Johan's adorable 17thC Canal House was the ideal base for our long weekend exploring Amsterdam. Note even gale force winds and driving rain could dampen our delight at his adorable attic suite and effortlessly relaxed and kind hosting demeanor. The apartment is very well located, perpendicular to one of Amsterdam's most charming canals neighborhoods and only a 15 min stroll to the very centre of town. Utrechstraat is littered with great restaurants and the funky De Pjip neighborhood a 5 minute walk. Don't hesitate - book!
We had a wonderful stay in Johan's beautiful loft. Everything is thoughtfully and professionally presented and the space is very clean and warm. A great base for exploring beautiful Amsterdam.
Although we did not meet Johan (who was away the weekend we stayed) everything was dealt with very smoothly.
very nice apartment and kind owner! spent three good nights at john's! very clean too! good one!!!
