New COVID19 update limits entry into Maine to New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York without having to complete a compliance certificate. All guests coming from outside these states will have to sign a compliance certificate stating one of the following:

• that you tested negative for COVID19 no later than 72 hours prior to arrival in Maine,
• or that you will quarantine in place,
• or that you already completed your 14 day quarantine in Maine.

Regrets,
Mark

The space
This is one of 2 cottages situated among evergreens just 100 feet from the shore. Enjoy cooking fresh Maine lobster and blueberry pie in a full kitchen, or grill in the open air on a gas grill. Experience the sun setting over the pond while listening to loons call. The cottages are 7/10s of a mile from Route 1, and 28 miles from Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park.

Cozy Haven is the tranquil cottage from which to discover the wonders of coastal Maine. The living room is the perfect place to sit and relax after a day of adventure in Acadia or kayaking right on the pond, while you watch your favorite program on a 55" 4K flat screen with Sling TV. Listening to the loon calls from the dock or from the screened in porch gives a sense of tranquility any time of day; especially while watching the sun set over the pond. For chilly evenings, a wall heater will warm the entire cottage right up. Rest comfortably upstairs on a king sized bed in the master bedroom or a double/twin bunkbed in the 2nd bedroom, or a queen sized sofa bed downstairs in the family room that can be curtained off. There is a full bath with shower located upstairs and a half bath downstairs.

Water comes from a fresh water drilled well that is also filtered, so reliance on lake water is unnecessary. A new septic system has been installed and all of the interior furnishings are new.

Guests for our two cottages have shared private access to the lake as well as to kayaks. Because of the cold season here in Maine, the dock goes in the lake the 1st week of May and is removed the 1st week of November.

While Cozy Haven is a tranquil cottage, Rocky Haven is a home away from home with all the necessary amenities (washer/dryer, dish washer, air conditioning and full furnace for 4 season living).

No pets are allowed on our properties due to family members with severe asthma issues; sorry!u

Guest access
The docks are out of the water by the first week in November.

Other things to note
Internet Key and password are located on the back of the modem beneath the TV. Also, we recommend that guests wear water shoes while wading in the lake.

Mark is an entrepreneur, professor, minister, husband, and proud father. After living overseas for 14 years in Ecuador, we returned to our home state of Maine. Mark likes to sail, fish, play racket ball and is on a billiards team. Laurie is a musician, writer, wife and devoted mother. She likes to read, hike, garden and cook. We enjoy going out to new restaurants, sight seeing, traveling, going to movies and concerts together. Our favorite destinations to date have been Mexico and Italy, and we look forward to visiting the British Isles one day. We have been married for almost 39 years and have 4 children who have all flown the coop but come around every so often with our four grandchildren; all to our great delight!
