Sea Bass cottage sleeps 5, one double room and one room with a single bed and set of bunk beds. There is a living room/ fully equipped kitchen area with a wood/ coal burning stove to keep you nice and cosy as the evenings grow colder.

The space

The cottage is located beside a working sheep and cattle farm(no pets allowed because of lambing sheep) and Grange Beach is a five minute walk away. The nearest village of Fethard on Sea is a twenty minute walk. If you like the countryside, and the quiet life, this self catering cottage is ideal for you. Explore the many restaurants & beaches on the Hook Peninsula, go fishing, bird watching, kayaking, visit Tintern Abbey and the infamous Hook Lighthouse and dine out in the many wonderful restaurants in the area. The Hook Peninsula has 14 beaches and there are over 10 heritage sites to visit in Co Wexford - The scenery is spectacular and this area is called the Sunny South East for a good reason

Guest access

Peace and tranquility, fresh air, beach walks, views of Bannow Bay and the Saltee Islands - they can also expect to see the farm animals in the field beside the cottage

Interaction with guests

We live 2 fields away and because the cottage is beside our working farm our guests can expect to see us out and about on the farm and on arrival

Beautiful location and an excellent host! We thoroughly enjoyed our New Year's break in Sea Bass Cottage. A very relaxing spot and a pleasure to see our little boys enjoying the proximity to the farm (with little lambs!) and the sea. We would happily stay again.

We had a fantastic time at the Sea Bass. We stayed 5 days and did not run out of things to do and see. Wexford is amazing & beautiful. Grainne was a delight, as was her husband Liam. He was kind enough to loan us his fine bird guides for the duration of our stay. The Saltee island tour was the highlight for my wife and I. My 85 yo mother loved the cottage and was delighted to have a rocking chair! She loved Wexford County. We were greeted by Liam and Grainne provided great scones and a 6 pack of thier farm fresh eggs and some fresh fruit. She came for a delightful visit at the begining and end of our trip. The cottage is small but very cozy & had everything we needed. Several fantastic resturants nearby, don't miss Nevilles and the Templar Inn, both fantastic. We loved the quiet rural setting, sea views and farm scenes and walks from the cottage. We could see the Saltee Islands from the yard and got photos of sheep in the foreground, awesome. We would highly recommend this most pleasant place to stay.

We loved our visit to this darling stone cottage on the Hook peninsula. Grainne and her husband Liam were wonderful hosts and live adjacent to the property so they were always there to help.It is a great location for day trips to Wexford, Enniscorthy, Waterford, and Kilkenny. Don't be afraid to drive these rural roads, that's where all the treasures are! We rode the East Passage car ferry and saw wild goats! Drive the Ring of Hook and see Tintern Abby. I Downloaded a City2go map app in the states which works offline and put my phone in airplane mode so I wouldn't use data. We showed up as a moving dot, which gave us great confidence to turn down any little road and not fear getting lost in some farmers field. This is the best thing ever. Ireland is so beautiful and Sea Bass Cottage is a gem. I can't wait to come back. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again to Grainne and Liam!
