Sweet Hideaway is a little, cozy space for couples or solo travelers looking for a peaceful refuge in the trees, yet only a 10 minute drive to downtown. You will have your own entrance and enjoy a Tempurpedic queen bed, a smart TV, your private bathroom, a dining/kitchenette area with a bar table and stools, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea, coffee, treats, utensils, a private table and chairs on the deck over the trees. For 2+ night stay, free use of washer/dryer.

The space
My place is good for up to 2 people. The space is peaceful, small, quiet and a great place to rest and reenergize. An easy walk to hikes in Mount Tabor and cafes in the Montavilla neighborhood.

Guest access
Other than your private suite and private area on the deck with a table and 2 chairs, you will have shared access the downstairs (back yard) patio area…a nice place to sit and eat, read etc…You might see our sweet mutt Marty down there, and please let us know if you’d like us to keep him inside. 🐾 You have a reserved parking space in the left hand side of the double driveway and street parking is also easy.

Other things to note
The washer/dryer are European machines meant for small loads…you are welcome to do a load of laundry if you stay for 2 nights or longer. If you stay for multiple days I’d be happy to wash a large load of laundry for you in my larger machine—just let me know. :) We have a dog, Martin, who you might meet on the deck. He is friendly and loves being loved, but if you have allergies or would prefer for him not to be outside, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Neighborhood highlights

This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Portland—a leisurely 10 minute walk to Mount Tabor Park and the trails and a 15 minute drive to down town Portland. We have concerts in Mount Tabor park every Tuesday night in the summer, and we border on the charming Montavilla neighborhood, where you'll find the iconic Academy Theater, great restaurants and cafes, and the Montavilla farmer's market on Sundays. We are also close to Coquine, a farm to table neighborhood restaurant on SE Belmont and 69th, a nice walk through the treelined streets, and Mandala Yoga which offers a variety of yoga classes also on SE 69th and Belmont.
