Really enjoyed staying here, was made feel very welcome. Anthony & Elaine are very knowledgeable of the area too & were very helpful with directions to local places in the town. Lovely room & bathroom. Was nice staying in an eco village. Calm & peaceful surroundings. Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Cloughjordan.
Staying with Elaine and Anthony was wonderful! We experienced the comfort of a passive house for the first time (really comfortable!), and had lovely conversations with our hosts. They really made us feel at home, gave advice on where to go, where to eat, and told us about the eco-village of Cloughjordan. We had the chance to eat fresh raspberries (yum!) from the gardens, see the new fab lab with 3D-printers, and had a nice walk through the community gardens, bursting with vegetables, herbs, and fruit. We loved staying here!
Excellent - a very warm welcome and every comfort. Have to mention the delicious blackcurrant and apple sponge we enjoyed with a cup of tea on arrival. The blackcurrants and apple picked from the garden. Mmmm.
Anthony and his family were incredibly friendly and thoughtful. My partner and I were visiting the village with lots of questions and they were very generous with their time in sharing their experience of living in the ecovillage. The room is very clean and simple and across the hall is your own bathroom with shower etc. The room is just by the front door so you don't ned to worry about disturbing the family. Staying in the village itself was lovely too and we had a great opportunity to find out more about how the ecovillage works. I'd definitely recommend staying with the Kelly's, we couldn't have felt more welcome.
