i may be a tad biased, but my cat,Fatty and my dog,Buckley are quite possibly the best of the best...that said, they are quite happy being loved by strangers but will respect your space as well.
Stephanie hosted my daughter and her friend for one night over their spring break. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They loved her cat and pup, her home and they appreciated her kindness. The neighborhood had plenty of shopping and food options. They wished they could could stay longer!
Stephanie was a wonderful host. We were in town for a concert, so we were concerned about coming in late, but she was very understanding and accommodating. We had great conversations about all kinds of things, and she was very helpful with restaurant and menu recommendations. Communication was great before and during the stay.
The pets were a bonus for me. Her growing puppy was a real sweetheart and wrestling with him over chewtoys made for a nice stretch. He was very good at night when we returned from the concert and stayed in his area in the kitchen. We only met her cat the second day, but she was adorable.
The house is awesome, the interior is beautiful, the neighborhood is full of stuff to do, there's wifi. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We definitely hope to return. Thank you for everything!
I had a wonderful stay with Stephanie. The space was beautiful and comfortable, the location was great, and Stephanie was so nice and helpful. I was only in town for one night, and she pointed me towards some great things to do. It's a great location in Wicker Park just a short walk from the train, which is convenient to both downtown and the airport. Can't recommend highly enough!
Stephanie was a great host! I couldn't have asked for a better first experience through airbnb! Along with that, it was my first time to Chicago! Stephanie was sure to tell me how to easily get around the city as well as the best local food spots to hit up while I was there. I'm not big into the chain restaurants, so this was a huge plus! Her animals were very sweet! I couldn't get enough time in with her sweet little cat. I'm a huge animal lover so this didn't bother me in the least!
Thank you for such a nice time while I stayed with you! :D
I had a lovely stay in Stephanie's home. Although it was freezing out, my room was warm & cozy and I loved the ambiance and decor of the house. The neighborhood is also a real gem, full of interesting restaurants, bars, and shops. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
We had a great time staying (too briefly!) with Stephanie in Chicago. The neighborhood was exactly what us country folk were looking for: beautiful, unique houses and all the necessary conveniences within a short walk, as was a great restaurant and bar that our host recommended. She braved the wintry conditions next morning to buy coffee which she most graciously shared with us, and we had nice talks before heading back out on the road. The bedroom was private and the bed plenty cozy. Stephanie even loaned me a book of hers that I got hooked on while I was there - Don't worry, I am sending it back! I would recommend this place to just about anyone- The location and the house itself are worth the cost. However, if you are unable to share space with a dog or cat, this would not be the place for you.
Stephanie's home is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Perfectly located in short walking distance to tons of fun Wicker Park bars, shops, and restaurants. Stephanie is laid-back and helpful, and her dog is a total sweetheart. We had a lovely stay!
Stephanie was a great host. My son and I stayed at her place while visiting Chicago. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area.
I enjoyed crashing at Stephanie's place. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to get a feel for one of Chicago's most vibrant neighborhoods outside of the touristy stretches. She was very friendly and has lived in the area for years and is therefore a great source of tips for anyone not familiar with Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village. I highly recommend Urban Oasis!
The "Urban Oasis" was just that for my wife and I on our one evening spent there. Stephanie is relaxed and considerate, and the apartment is as wonderful as it looks in the listing. Centrally located in a beautiful neighborhood, it is a very nice place to be able to stay.
