A comfortable four-bedroom three-bath house one mile south of Inverness overlooking the tidal marsh. Close to trails and beaches in Point Reyes National Recreation Area and to shopping and restaurants at Point Reyes Station, Inverness and Olema.
The House sits on 3 acres at an altitude of 150 feet. It overlooks the Tomales Bay tidal marshes. Its back is to the forest. California state park property is 300 feet to the west. It is the last house up a private road, isolated by trees and vegetation from its neighbors. The only artificial light visible at night comes from farmsteads on the slope of the hill across the bay. At night the silence is only broken by the tree frogs. Comfortably accommodates six adults and two children.

A room across the hall from the two upstairs bedrooms can sleep two, generally expected to be children, in a sleigh bed and an air bed.. There is a travel crib. There are children’s toys and books. The lower suite with a queen bed and bath has its own entrance. There is no internal staircase and it could be used independent of the upstairs rooms. There is a one-car garage and ample parking outside.

No smoking in the house. There is a wood stove but it is not in service. House-broken, flea-free, well mannered and well supervised pets who stay on the floor and do not scratch doors or other surfaces considered.
We had a terrific albeit short stay at Tide View and would highly recommend staying here. All our exchanges with our hosts were warm and welcoming. The house was immaculately clean and peaceful. Beautiful view with gorgeous morning light.
This was a simply wonderful accommodation in all ways. Douglas was so welcoming in all his communications and met our special needs with ease. The view is spectacular but the home is equally spectacular. Immaculate, Every amenity. We housed three generations with ease and the children especially loved the space and the toys made available. The deck and patio are a vacation in themselves. High up, you feel ensconced in nature. Great birding and star gazing. You are close to everything in the area. Spectacular beach and hiking and Ft. Reyes Station close by. East coasters in for a family wedding we are trying to plan our next visit. Kitchen and baths are especially lovely, right out of a modern design magazine. Clearly, this house and this area and the view provide an exceptional vacation opportunity. We think is especially perfect for a gathering of families.
The house was beautiful and welcoming. We enjoyed the wonderful view of the marshlands and tons of wildlife. The home was clean, inviting and well stocked. The bottle of wine was a nice touch to get the week started. Thank you for sharing your home as a good time was enjoyed by all.
The reservation was canceled 15 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our whole experience was great. The house was well equipped, clean, very modern and had everything we needed and even more. There were lots of toys children can play.(Our boys loved them. We brought our own toys but they ended up playing more with toys in the house. ) There was a highchair for babies. If your baby needs a darker room, you got it.(Kids room was looking on the other side and it was great for our little one to sleep, since it is darker.) There are 2 bathrooms in upstairs and one of them is away from the kids room.(which is a plus. You don't need to worry about waking up the baby, when you older one was using the bathroom.) The location of the house was great. It was short drive to Point Reyes and Hearts desire beach. The view from the house was fantastic. We really like it. The host was fantastic and he was so kind. He is responsive to our questions. Overall, we recommend it for everone and we will be back.
Our host was responsive to our questions. The descriptions and photos of the property were accurate. The location was perfect for exploring the Point Reyes area. The home easily accommodated six adults and a toddler. We would highly recommend this property and would consider staying there again.
Our entire experience went perfectly: from the initial contact with the host to the logistics of getting into the home to the full experience of the beautiful site, everything was in order. The spacious home was well equipped, the rooms spacious and comfortable, the surroundings serene, and the view from all the north windows to die for. There were five of us, friends for years celebrating our 60th birthdays, and this was a wonderful venue for enjoying each other's company once again.
