The House is on a hill overlooking the Tomales Bay tidal marsh. It is the last house up a private road. It is isolated by trees and vegetation from its neighbors. The only artificial light visible at night comes from farmsteads on the slope of the hill across the bay. At night the silence is nearly total. Tree frogs croak in the spring. Comfortably accommodates three couples and two children. Sleigh bed and pack 'n'play for children.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms with a king- and a queen-sized bed. There is a third children's bedroom with a child's sleigh bed and an airbed. There are toys and children's books. There is highchair and a travel crib. There are two baths. The kitchen, dining space, and living room are upstairs.
Downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a bath and, in an adjoining room, a sofa bed. There is an outside staircase to the downstairs which has its own entrance.

Interaction with guests
We will give you detailed directions to the house and the keys when the reservation is confirmed. Help is available by phone, email, and, if necessary, in person though it will take an hour to reach you.
Note that the price per day includes a 10% Marin County tax. The price before tax is $227.28 weekdays and $295.45 for Friday and Saturday nights.
It is one mile and three minutes from the town of Inverness and the store at Inverness Park and five minutes from Pt Reyes. Limantour Beach is a short drive to the south. Hearts Desire, Drakes Beach and other sights and sites in and adjoining the Point Reyes National Recreation Area are within easy reach. There are hiking trails on the Inverness Ridge and throughout the coastal area.
Point Reyes Station shops and restaurants serve an upscale weekend and holiday clientele from San Francisco and Marin County. There are also good restaurants in and on the way to Olema, and restaurants and a store in Inverness.
A car is needed (though we expect eventually to have someone arrive by bicycle). There is Marin Airporter from SFO to San Rafael or Petaluma.. Golden Gate Transit has bus service from San Rafael to Inverness but it is not convenient. It is one+ hour drive from San Francisco and about 40 minutes from San Rafael. There is parking on site.
Other things to note
Please be considerate of the neighbors. It is a small neighborhood of only three houses and we are accustomed to a lot of quiet. The houses are screened off by trees and not visible to one another but sound carries. Do talk, laugh and dance, but when you gather outdoors, give a thought to the sound level.
Languages: English and French. Can arrange for Farsi, Italian and Spanish.
No smoking in the house. There is a wood stove but it is not in service. House-broken, flea-free, well-mannered and well-supervised pets that are not left alone to bark their heads off and that stay on the floor and do not scratch doors or other surfaces considered. That said, we like dogs.
