The neighborhood is really quiet lovely with tree-lined streets, and filled with small wine shops, arts and crafts shops, many nice and afordable restaurants, and quaint little bars on small alleyways. Tons of history in the original part of San Francisco.
Muni bus are just around the corner, and BART is about a 10 minute walk. The ferry plaza and ferry boats are also about a 10 minute walk toward the water front.

Great location: Close to Embacadero, Little Italy; Chinatown, a little further (20 min on foot) to Union Square; nice neighboorhood; a great variety of restaurants nearby; nicely decorated studio with all amenities (dishwasher; microwave) even with a private deck.
Very hospitable hosts. Booking with AirBnB for the first time I was pleasently surprised how much more that offered than staying in a hotel, especially when you are in town for more than two weeks.
I spent two weeks David's place which was beautiful, modern, and impeccably clean. The kitchen had everything you could need in it, including a coffee machine. The outside deck is just lovely to relax after a busy day in town. Within walking distance from the offices and with a BART station very close, this flat is in an incredibly convenient location.
I did not meet with David but he was easily reachable by e-mail.
We spent 17 nights at David's place which was exactly as described, modern and very comfortable. Lots of space for 2, the kitchen is very useful, and the private deck, although we did not use it a lot, is clearly a good point!
It is easy to get to the apartment, even after a 14-hours flight, we did not have any trouble in the neighbourhood. We walked a lot while in SF and David's place is pretty central.
Finally, we did not meet with David but he was easily reachable by e-mail.
To put it in a nutshell, a good place to rent! Thanks again David!
David and Jason were fantastic hosts, from helping me with my (heavy) suitcase to keeping great communication during the stay, they couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment is exactly as listed. The location is also great, really convenient. The ideal size for 1-2, spacious kitchen and bedroom and an awesome private deck for dining/entertaining.
