Our home is a "dual occupancy" house. We live upstairs, while our airbnb guests live downstairs.

You get a large apartment with 2 bedrooms (each with ensuite) plus a modern fully equipped kitchen and living room. A comfortable sofa bed lounge in the living room means this accommodation can sleep up to six adults comfortably.

Large covered outdoor area with barbecue for outdoor dining. On street parking available with a parking permit supplied by host to protect you from parking tickets!!

The space
Our home is a classic Queenslander style home close to the Brisbane CBD and Southbank tourist precinct.

Our home is a dual occupancy home. Your airbnb hosts live in the "upstairs" home, while, as guests you stay in the "downstairs" home.

For guests living "downstairs", it is like having is a modern self-contained two bedroom/ two bathroom home with fully equipped kitchen and living/dining room.

The main bedroom and second bedroom each have their own ensuites. Each bedroom has air conditioning.

The main bedroom has a double bed. Second bedroom has two single beds which can be put together to make a queen size bed.

There is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. A portacot and a trundle bed provide additional sleeping options for children.

There is also a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven, gas cooktop, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave oven, and dishwasher and breakfast bar with three stools.

The living room has a large flat screen "smart" TV, and a comfortable sofa which can be converted into a double bed in just two minutes.

The living room also includes a drop side table which can be converted into a six seater dining table in a flash!

So this apartment can comfortably accommodate up to six people looking for self-catering accommodation for a weekend, or even a whole week.

The apartment also has a well-lit covered outdoor area with a barbecue and a six seater outdoor dining table.

We sometimes rent our downstairs accommodation as two self-contained guest rooms each with ensuite - please see our reviews for "other listings".

You have fully self-contained two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with secure electronic front gate entry and private keyed entry to your apartment.

Your host family live separately upstairs. The only space you will share with your host family is the laundry. We do ask you communicate with us when you are planning to do washing so we can adjust to each others laundering needs

Other things to note
We have pets. A cat, a dog and two free range chickens who wander our back yard during the day.

No off street parking available. We can provide guests with a parking permit which will protect you from getting a parking ticket while parked in our street. Due to our proximity to the Brisbane CBD, our street has two hour parking limit between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. You need to tell us BEFORE your arrival if you are going to need to borrow a parking permit from us. A security deposit will be charged for the parking permit; this deposit will be fully refunded to you when you return the parking permit back to us on the morning of your departure.

We are well located near the city centre. It is easy to use bikeways to get to CBD, Southbank, etc. We can lend you bicycles with helmets and bikelocks etc.

Inner suburban location, close to CBD. Where you live has the feel of a suburban street but you are only 2 km from the CBD with very good public transportation links. An Uber ride into the CBD is typically only about $8. It is also possible to walk to the Southbank tourist precinct (30 minute walk) or the CBD (45 minute walk). It is also possible to get to both of these locations on bicycle using the bikeway system . We have three bicycles with helmet and bike lock and removable lights for night time riding available.

The Woolloongabba "high street" with multiple cafes and eateries is a 10 minute walk from our place.

A Coles supermarket is also only a 10 minute walk from our place.

We are a professional couple, both working in health care, with an 17 year old daughter still living at home with us. We each work different days/hours from one week to the next, but we do our best to provide hospitality and information while we are here. Duncan is working part-time on a "transition to retirement" program and will respond to messages sent via airbnb website promptly. Our guest space has private entry so you can come and go as you please using your own key to your own self-contained space.

Come and go as you please from your own self-contained home. Your hosts will give you privacy and independance in your own space, but will be contactable at any time by sending a message using the Airbnb app on your phone.
