Small, rustic, private cottage.
On several acres, secluded and private, but only minutes from the airport and Forest Lakes North/Target/Harris Teeter/etc.

The entire cottage and land. Approximately half an acre of cleared property, and 6.5 acres of woods.
Close to Target and groceries and restaurants at Forest Lakes North and at Hollymead Town Center.
Other Things to Note
The bathroom is VERY teeny and very outdated. The whole house is teeny and outdated, but the bathroom particularly so. There's a very small sink, and a shower and toilet. They are all very functional, and the water gets HOT. But its extremely basic and rustic. The door to the bathroom is a strange bi-fold door that closes, but does not lock. The bathroom is definitely not "Holiday Inn" style quality. Not anywhere close. But everything works and everything is functional. Hopefully that is not an issue for you, but if it is, no hard feelings, but this might not be the place for you to stay.
No smoking at all inside the house. No pets allowed under any circumstances. Please don't even ask. I love pets. Just not in the cottage. Ever.
Enjoyed my stay--as Chad's description makes clear, the place has more of a rustic vibe than high-end amenities, but if you're out and about and just need a place to crash, it's fine.
This Airbnb experience was great! The listing was centrally located near Vineyards (We went to King's Family in Crozet, VA) and we spent a day in Luray, VA hiking at Shenandoah National Park. There is a Harris Teeter/ Trader Joe's/ Whole Foods down the street that we picked food up at and we utilized the local Walgreens Redbox for movie watching at night! The fire pit was wonderful and we had s'mores one night! We also recommend Kirt's homemade ice cream in Charlottesville (Espresso and Mint flavor to die for) and Al Carbon Chicken also in Charlottesville for Mexican! Also there is a cute putt putt course nearby if you are in the mood for Mini Golf. The cottage was as described and was a great crashing spot for the night since we spent mainly the days out! Chad was awesome in being available if we needed him via the telephone but he maintained our privacy which we really appreciated. Would definitely use this airbnb site again!
Chad's chalet was awesome. It was pretty cold out the weekend we were there (for March at least) but we stayed plenty warm with the space heaters. There's also a fire pit outside which is pretty rad. And a great vinyl record collection in the living room! Definitely would recommend this place!
Chad's chalet was cozy and comfortable. I was worried that it would get cold as he only had space heaters, but it ended up being fine. This place has all the basics and is great for a weekend stay. There are a couple quirks (bathroom is TINY and the shower isn't the best). Really close to Charlottesville and Shenandoah and all the amenities.
Chad's cottage was awesome! Small but cozy, with an amazing collection of vinyl records. Close enough to town to enjoy everything Charlottesville has to offer, but secluded enough to give a great sense of privacy. Perfect for a rustic weekend getaway.
Chad's bed was great! I had just what I needed, a dark quiet sleep on a comfortable bed. He was very welcoming and explained all I needed to know. It's a no-frills place, low on style and amenities, with a few quirks pertaining to water and heating, but it gets the job done if you're not in a fussy mood. And vinyl record fans will be in heaven.
