Named the 'Mabula Nest', a local word meaning large wood pigeon, this new studio has beautiful views over the Segond Canal and Aore Island.
The Mabula Nest is an open planned space with a kitchenette and a separate bathroom. A line of bi-folding doors allows the outside in when open and is a perfect spot to sit and stare at the views with a cool sea breeze.
Located just across from a great little swimming beach and the best Nakamal (Kava bar) on the island, this is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to get away from the beaten track.
Luganville is only a 20 minute walk, where you will find some good restaurants and cafes. Taxis and local public transport are right outside your door as an option too. You will be staying next to some great Ni Van neighbours and have everything you need to feel at home in Santo.
Espiritu Santo is an “away from the masses” experience so you can take the opportunity to do as little or as much as you need to in this unrushed region of Vanuatu. There are loads of things to do should you wish to climb out of your hammock including;
Kayaking and snorkling
Visit the Blue Holes
Explore the beautiful white coast line of some of the worlds best beaches
Island and beach tours
World War II Sites
We look forward to your visit!
No smoking inside and please bin your butts.
We very much enjoyed our stay with David in Luganville! He was a stellar host - super friendly and accessible. He was happy to give us tips and we shared a couple of meals together.
The house is lovely, though a bit out of town (not walking distance). We hired a scooter while we were staying there, which was a perfect solution. Although it is not in town, there is a swimming beach across the street and a great (and friendly) resort a five minute walk up the road where we went almost every morning for breakfast, and to organise a snorkelling trip (Coral Quays). There is also plenty of dishes and crockery to cook with while you are there.
I would very much recommend the experience to anyone!
