  • So glad I opted to stay with Jim and Linda!! From the moment I arrived, these folks were welcoming, glad to see me, and made me feel at ease and very comfortable as a single vacationer. And Jim was so helpful and informative to email me in advance with photos of the area, event listings and enticing me with all that I was about to experience, see and do.

The bedroom, sitting room and adjoining full bath were all larger than I expected and furnished beyond belief! And, if I needed anything at all, Linda was there to accommodate - including boiling me an egg each morning :)

We dined together, explored Corkscrew Gulch together and shared life stories, challenges, triumphs and fears. I had an incredibly amazing time in Ridgway, CO....and will return again. But mostly....to explore all the seemingly endless trails and adventures I didn't have time for on this trip, and to catch up with the happenings of my new and good friends; Jim and Linda.

Finally, Ridgway was far preferable to Ouray, (in my opinion) as far as a place to stay. It's town has amazing restaurants, a river, cute shops, nice park, and is far less touristy and yet just a few short driving miles to Ourway, when you desire more. The livestock, deer, mountain ranges and ascent into Log Hill Village was spectacular...and breathtaking; causing me to pull out the camera time and time again.

  • Jim and Linda are excellent hosts. They were very wiling to give pointers on the area and get us anything we needed. The room was very clean, comfortable, and just as described. The house is above Ridgway and has excellent views of the San Juans. Also, the town of Ridgway is very fun. It's charming, quirky and has great restaurants.

We would definitely stay with Jim and Linda again.

  • This was my third stay at Jim and Linda's place. As always the room was great, the fridge was stocked, and the company was awesome. I bring my Jeep out every year to wheel in the San Juan's as it is a great place to wheel and take pictures. Jim was able to wheel with me for a couple of days and he showed me some places I've never been. From the high country passes to the local forest roads there are beautiful views everywhere. I enjoy spending time with Jim and Linda while I'm at their place. We watched movies and went out to eat at the local restaurants. Thanks Jim and Linda for a great stay. I'll be back...

  • Jim & Linda's place is wonderful! This is a spacious, quiet, and private accommodation, with a separate entrance and it's own bathroom. Everything looks like in the pictures provided, but Jim and Linda made us feel like home! We had a wonderful time riding our motorcycle in the area... and God... how beautiful this area is! There are hot springs at less then 20 min drive from here... beautiful mountains and gorgeous surroundings! This is a heaven for all nature lovers all year round. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, you guys are terrific hosts! Highly recommended.

  • We had the perfect stay with Jim and Linda in their beautiful home conveniently located between Ouray (about 10 mins away) and Telluride (about 40ish minutes away). The room was comfortable, very well decorated, and felt like our own little home. The breakfast each morning was delicious (muffins, fruit, yogurt, oj, coffee). Jim and Linda couldn't be sweeter people. They gave us great recommendations about locals happenings, best places to park, and fun things to do. They were so hospitable, and even offered to drive me to the hospital should I go into labor (as I was 8 months pregnant while staying there). I would highly recommend staying with Jim and Linda!

  • Jim and Linda are such gracious hosts. We had a spacious place to spread out, take in the spectacular views, walk their lovely grounds and watch the friendly neighborhood deer pass through. Linda is as sweet as can be, providing yummy breakfast muffins, juice and fruit. Jim has great stories and always wanted to be sure we got the most from our visit to their little 'piece of the pie in the sky". You won't be disappointed if you plan to stay near Ridgway, CO.

  • We had an incredible stay with Jim and Linda while we were in town for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The private room was just what we were looking for (and more!). The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, and Jim and Linda were excellent hosts - they provided us with maps and recommendations for places to hike and fully take in their beautiful view of the San Juan Mountains.

I would highly recommend staying with Jim and Linda! We can't wait to come back again for next year's festival as well as during ski season.

  • Great, great stay and Jim and Linda's! Both the sleeping room and the sitting area are large, comfortable and nicely decorated - the pictures speak for themselves. Jim and Linda are incredibly welcoming hosts (they stayed up very late to be able to welcome us when we arrived!) as well as nice and charming people to get to know - we enjoyed spending time and chatting with them. They were very helpful in helping us navigating the area and giving us a few insider tricks such as best hot springs, parking facilities in Telluride, etc. We would love to come back anytime. Thanks Jim, thanks Linda!

We are a couple of semi-retired Coloradans who love the San Juans and are eager to share this beautiful place with visitors. As lodging in this area can be very expensive we offer our beautiful, newly remodeled suite at a very reasonable price. If you have never been to this corner of paradise, you don't know what you have missed! We enjoy travel, movies, watching the sunsets from our deck and can't live without good Mexican food. When we travel we use AirBnb! We only stay in hotels when there is no other option. We enjoy entertaining and feel this opportunity to have you visit is a perfect fit. So if you have a special request; a book or magazine or perhaps a special movie (like "True Grit") we are happy to accommodate. We are also very respectful of our guests' privacy, just like we want to be treated when we are the guests!
