apartment is great, very clean, nice kitchen, location is good, the host is so friendly and helpful. I do prefer this apartment to everybody.
The apartment is very nice, very clean. the kitchen is more than great.the location is very nice and safe, just 2 minutes to the bus station which will take you to the metro station or silver spring down town.
the view is fantastic, very relaxing and beautiful. allot of shopping centers around the area,Mr Chiko is great host, very friendly and helpful, even he helped me in some personal matters. I do recommend the great apartment to every one of you.
We stayed at Chiko's place for 4 nights and we had the time of our lives!!! The place is clean, tidy and well organized for hosting. Although we arrived (email hidden) Chiko welcomed us very generously, explained and helped us to orientate and feel at home.
It's really easy to go from the apartment to The Mall and we felt very safe in the neighborhood.
Chiko is an amazing host and he answered patiently to all our questions. We will definitely return to Chiko in our next trip. Thank you Chiko!
Chiko and his penthouse were amazing. My partner and I rented the space for a month and loved the building and our host so much that we decided to rent a second space in the building from Chiko for an additional month. We had a small beagle traveling with us, (small well-behaved dogs only) which was fine because the building has a dog run utilized by the many helpful and easy-going people who occupy the building. We really enjoyed the diverse cuisine found in the area as well as the ihop next door (a guilty pleasure). At present Chiko does not charge a cleaning fee, so guest are expected to leave the condo ready for the next guest. This includes doing your own cleaning, including the linens, so prepare accordingly. There is a bus that stops right outside of the building that takes you to the metro. We didn’t have a car, so this was a major plus. I highly recommend Chiko and his space for anyone traveling to the DC area.
My roommate and I enjoyed our stay here. The place is a small studio on the 12th floor. We stayed for two months while we worked in DC for the summer; the rest of the year, we're college students out west.
We got there after another long term stay, and I think that guest wasn't as good as previous ones. The place was a little dirty - something had spilled in the lazy susan, the floors desperately needed swept, the cabinets were sticky, there was cat litter swept under the rug, and two broken dishes had fallen to the bottom of the dishwasher - but once we got it clean, it was a lovely place to stay. So my review is tinted by the carelessness of the previous resident, not necessarily Chiko.
Chiko himself was friendly and easy to get a hold of.
This is summer in DC. The AC did need a tune up, but once it got one, we were looking at humidity-free, sub-70 temperatures in the apartment - the hallways are pretty warm, but don't let that stop you, because the lobby and apartments are quite comfortable.
The apartment location isn't the best bang for it's price - it's a bus to the metro station, but the buses, the 16 and the k6, will take you anywhere you need to go in thirty minutes or fewer (including to College Park, where younger guests will want to spend some time). There's an Aldi within walking distances for little things you need to pick up.
The studio is everything it is advertised to be and more. The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies and appliances, it was great! We stayed at Chiko's studio for a month, and I have no complaints. There was parking, laundry, to add to the already comfortable studio. Chiko was very helpful and flexible when we booked the studio. He was prompt to reply to any questions we had, and followed up after the first night to make sure everything went well and to see if we had any questions. I would highly recommend Chiko's studio. The studio is in a great location with a Metro bus stop right outside the apartment which takes you to a close Metro rail station. Easy access to the city without the hassle of finding parking. Chiko is a great host and the apartment is great! We definitely would stay here again!
I have rented Chiko’s condo for three months (me and my wife and we delivered a baby as well during our stay), since he gave me time during my stay then I should give him time for this review
First of all, the condo pictures is almost the same as reality ,even reality is better (well-furnished as well as there is Big TV)
Condo is clean ,Building is well secured, as well as the community is very friendly (and pets (dogs) are allowed and even if you don’t like pets like me, you won’t feel them)
There is a full Gym which is awesome and has restrooms and very clean as well
There is a full Kitchen which is awesome (nothing to mention more than it’s awesome)
Regarding communication ,There is turbo wireless router unlimited data (very fast and non-interruptible at all and for free)
Regarding the place, I have been in the states for three months without a car and I never felt I need one although I was having several options to rent but transportation is just outside the building which takes you to any place in DC area ,parts of Maryland and Virginia as well as the building address is very easy to any UPS/Taxi guy anyone who needs to come to your place as the street is very popular to all residents
The area itself is very occupied with restaurants (I-hop is just outside the building which is 24 hours), a lot of super markets(5), starbucks, radioshak….etc. ,all of these are 3 minutes walking as maximum and even less (my pregnant wife was going every day)
Laundry/dryer are perfect within the building(one in the floor for free as well)
Even parking for our visitors was for free which is a plus in the united states
There is a pool but unfortunately it was closed as it was too cold for a pool during my stay ,but I guess it will be perfect as everything else
Chiko’s personally is very friendly and was always on top of things especially my questions and very professional at the same time ,in other words he’s perfect for anyone who need to rent in DC area in general (you will never be regret)
Last but not least , I want to thank him for hosting me for this long period in this perfect place (c u soon)
This is the second time I rented the apt. The apt is in awesome location with a very nice host!
The condo (and Chiko!) are absolutely as described...the place was spotless and Chiko was an excellent host--easy to deal with and right on time with everything...including a coffee pot! When he was showing me around, I noticed that there was no coffee maker. I am a coffeaholic and was planning a stay at his condo for 5 days! He picked up a coffee maker and surprised me with it less than an hour after our conversation!
It's a great place--and a perfect location. I was attending a seminar at U of MD and just hopped on the J4 or C2 and was there in under 10 minutes!
My friend and I stayed at Chiko's place and we loved it. It was even better than the pictures. The neighborhood was really nice and had everything in walking distance. Communication with Chiko went really smooth, he's and awesome host. If I'm back in the DC area this is definitely going to be my first pick to stay.
