About This Listing
Clean, spacious, well located photo studio loft. This unique live/work space will be one you won't forget.
Because it was designed as a photo studio, this area is the 'cove' shooting space, but can easily be enjoyed by adding a table and having dinner
I travel often, so if this beautiful studio loft is a place that you feel warms your heart, please let me know!
I am a photographer: the first level is a studio, kitchen, bathroom set up. Upstairs is the bedroom (enclosed room) with it's own set of stairs. I recently renovated the bathroom, and there are laundry facilities. (Bed sheets and towels included).
You will find this a very lovely boutique studio, lit by 5 large south facing windows. Liberty Village is south west downtown Toronto, just above the Exhibition Grounds.
Air conditioning is only active from June 1st to Oct 1st.
If you are interested, I can email you further photos of the bedroom and other amenities.
All the stores you need for food and drink within a 5 minute walk. Banks, restaurants, and bars are as close as well.
There is a bus line and a street car line within blocks to take you to the heart of the city (we are 10 min from the centre).
PS In my reviews there is mention of a pet bunny, but the bunny is only there once in a while, and won't be there during your stay. If you have allergies, please let me know.
Talk to you soon, Mario :)

Mario's place was amazing - very clean, very very cool space in such a great neighbourhood. Mario was very accommodating for my last minute reservation and arrival and departure was super easy and smooth. I would highly recommend this place if you want something in Liberty Village - or if you just fancy giving loft style living a chance ;)
It is an unusual place, but it has a lot of style and heart. My wife and I were in Toronto for business and pleasure and we found the location perfect. We were 15 minutes walking distance from the Direct Energy Center, and it was also quite easy to take a stroll to trendy Queen Street West. The neighbourhood has many interesting bars, eateries and a large supermarket.
Mario was a great host, he showed us his place and all the details.
We would be very happy to stay there on our next visit.
Had a really nice stay at Mario's loft!
The place is really convenient, lots of natural light, close to everything. Mario is really helpful and welcoming, would stay there anytime.
Mario hosted us and we arranged to shoot our short indie film at his place. The uniqueness of his space looked amazing in our film and suited our needs perfectly. We had the perfect work/live space. He was readily available at all times for any questions and concerns. The location for food, groceries, and drinks was really perfect also. We definitely recommend this cool loft for your stay in Toronto!
My stay at Mario's place was great. So much so that I'm already trying to arrange plans to stay there again. Mario was very accommodating and everything was as expected.
Mario was extremely accommodating to my schedule. I am a big fan of loft style living - live/work spaces like you will find in SF, New York and downtown LA. Mario's place was clean, easy to access, located in a very happening part of Toronto. It was quiet and comfortable for what I needed. I have no reservations staying here again. Access to public transport was easy - great nightlife in the neighborhood etc. Recognize I am not the "stay in your room, crash on a couch and watch TV guy" - this place therefore suited me perfectly. Lofts are my preferred choice and they all have their points of character - its why I like them - don't think you can go wrong here!
About the Host, Mario
Hello, welcome to my profile.
I'm a award-winning commercial, international fashion photographer and since joining Air B&B in 2011, I have been renting out my spare room when I travel for work.
A talented friend renovated the space when I moved in 5 years ago, and really helped me start off on the right foot with all my Toronto success; we upgraded the bathroom (featuring a seat), put in laundry, and added carpet tile in the bedroom.
It's been a pleasure to host some really vibrant and interesting people from all over the world and all walks of life. I've had so many wonderful conversations and worldly insights from my guests, that it's added a whole new dimension to my Air B&B experience. It's certainly a unique opportunity and continues to be very rewarding for me. I hope it's the same for you!
My studio: The space is as seen in the photos. It's kept very clean and tidy. The private room is very comfortable and free of my personal belongings. I know that some of you may desire the residential comforts of sofas and dining tables in the lower area of the studio, so if this existing minimalism is not your style, not a problem at all. I can certainly understand that. This is a 'unique' space after all, and crafted around the lifestyle of a photographer :)
But if it IS your taste! and you are interested in staying here in the private room, please let me know! :) All the best on your travels.
