I had a great stay at Jen's place. I was warmly greeted by her and her 2 cats and dog Tonka. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Jen gave me directions for a nice trail run that led me to the lake. I'd highly recommend Jen's place for your stay.
Jen called emailed and texted me well in advance and offered to pick me up at the Go Station near thier place...I missed the stop and she came to the next stop (which was the end of the line) to pick me up! Truly Stellar. The couple is warm and friendly as you would expect and their pets even more so. Tonka, their dog, was easy to get along with as were their cats. They are so friendly you feel that they are your own pets.
Jen loaned me a bike, and that was cool...they also had an electric scooter that wasn't working but from my perspective could be utilized for a guest mode of transportation ( with helmet of course). The facilities were private and comfortable...the private washroom added to the experience. A home theatre is set up with lots of content and I watched a movie one night on it which was a treat. The couple themselves were out pursuing their professional and personal activities so I only saw them infrequently when I was there. Even when they were home I felt completely comfortable as they were both personable and easy to get along with. I shopped for food and a shelf and kitchen facilities were made available as I made breakfast and a small supper every day while I was there. All in All a 10 out of 10 for hospitality and facilities. Just as advertised.
Thanks Again Jen and Dan for a Great B and B Experience and your Superb Hospitality!!!
Jen made sure that she and her husband were around for our arrival. Their pets greeted us as well. Two cats and a sweet older dog.
Their home is in a nice residential area about a five minute drive to the downtown waterfront. A vehicle is a must, though I didn't check on local transit. The home is nice and well-maintained but the double bed was a bit small for someone used to a King or Queen. The separate private bath in the basement was nice but I felt I had to use it during the night even though they said otherwise.
My husband Julio and me where at Jen's place for one week and it was absolutely comfortable and nice. We could use the guests bathroom which was private for us. They have two cats and one dog, all of them adorable and easy to pet. Jen and her husband Dan are really friendly, they gave us some tips of living in Canada and winter time in Barrie, and also Jen picked up us from the Barrie South GO train station. If you are looking for a place to stay in Barrie, I totally recommend Jen's cozy bungalow.
Sorry for the late review. It is an amazing house with its very kind hostess Jen and her lovely dog Tanker. Actually it is one of 2 best night we spend during our 12 days road trip and the other is a Westin hotel which is 4-star. We enjoyed so much time playing with Tanker in a living room with all sorts of entertainment devices. And all the things are pretty clean. We really felt like at home.
I spend a night with my boyfriend at Jen's place. We stayed in a nice, cozy room with a large bed and we got access to the guest bath room, which was used only by us. The room actually looked friendlier than pictured on the images, assumed you open the window and let some natural light into the room :)
The house was in a very quiet neighborhood in the suburban area of Barrie (parking space available).
Jen and her husband were really friendly and open-minded hosts and their two cats and her dog were lovely. We pretty much enjoyed sitting in their garden talking and enjoying the warmth of the open fire (seems to be a typical thing in Canada). It was a really funny evening and we pretty much appreciated the hospitality of Jen and Dan. We would love to visit them again in the future.
There was no problem at all regarding check-in and check-out date.
Thanks Jen for this great experience!
