DO NOT send me a request without first checking if the dates are ok.
NO BOOKINGS over 2 months in advance. Room is reserved for friends and family who might visit.
If the date you want does not show on the calendar, it is unavailable.
This is a spare room in my apartment that is available on certain dates.
The room has a SINGLE BED that can comfortably accommodate ONE person. However, if you don't mind the squeeze, it could accommodate 2 people.
There is no extra bed/mattress/whatever.
Guests will be able to use the bedroom, washroom, living room and kitchen during their stay.
The apartment also has a clubhouse - gym, bowling alley, pool (except in winter) and other facilities.
This is in one of the newly developed residential areas in Macau, and is relatively new.
The area is convenient, with many supermarkets and cafes around.
It is near the Macau Ferry Terminal, which is convenient for those coming over from HK.
It is also very near the border to cross over to Zhu Hai, convenient for those coming from Guangzhou.
There is a bus terminal nearby which has buses going to the terminal at the city center, near Grand Lisboa.
There are also buses going to Taipa, Cotai and Coloane, where other touristy sites and casinos are.
I have to ask for a security deposit (via airbnb) because it cost money to replace the building entry pass if it gets lost. Also, I've had a horrid experience where a guest left my room looking like a tornado struck it. :(
Because of a few unfavourable hosting experience, I'm a lot more picky about the people I let into my house.
I'm generally quite nice and friendly until my patience wears out. And my patience only wears out with people who are not independent, have no common sense, or are just plain annoying.
I prefer guests who are independent and don't need me to babysit/spoon-feed them with everything.
I really don't have the time and patience to be a babysitter.
It is important that guests can read and follow instructions/directions/notes.
If you don't bother reading and following simple requests like dropping a message before sending in a booking, that tells me you can't follow directions in the house manual I've left for guests. In that case, I don't want to host you.
Nice and cozy place, feels like home...:) its so recommended, thank you for the hospitality
Clean and new. Nice and safe complex. Alittle far from city center however buses run till rather late but taxis are always in macau available
Don't be needy or ask any questions and you and host will get alone just fine.
I don't have the time and patience to baby-sit and the guest keeps asking questions that can be answered via common sense.
He called me twice on Saturdays when I'm in the middle of a facial and massage, and once early in the morning when I'm still asleep and did not respond to the knock on the door for questions that are not urgent or life-and-death matters. ("Can I use your hanger" as an early morning wake up call would make anyone grouchy) I don't think he grasps the concept of leaving notes or texts in non urgent circumstances.
This guest generally expects too much from a cheap room (priced at about 30+/night then).
I don't think any of my other guests had any problems with me (see other reviews) because they were clearly very independent travelers.
Sherly was an awesome host!! She had a welcome packet to guide us on all of Macau's hot spots and more!!! It was very informative and extremely helpful!! Her apartment was very very nice!! Modern, clean, close to the bus lines, close to the ferry station,,,close to the historic part of Macau!! The room was perfect for my wife and I..definitely recommend it to all if you come to Macau!!
A very modern, clean and comfortable place to stay in Macau. There is also a good, cheap gym to use in the apartment building and lots of supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. Thanks for a great stay, Sheryl.
beautiful and very comfortable place. Thank you again for your hospitality :)
Nice and great place to stay.
Thanks a lot Sheryl!
Sheryl's place is 10 mins away from the Macau Ferry Terminal which is very convenient for travellers like me who wants to go on a side trip to Hong Kong. Plus the bus terminals were walking distance from the apartment building so it's pretty easy to go around the area of Taipa or Cotai.
The apartment is very new and also clean. Internet's fast plus tv had cable. Breakfast wasnt that much of a prob since there are a lot of small restos and supermarkets in the neighborhood. Definitely a recommended place to stay in Macau.
Thanks again Sheryl! :)
Great place to rest your head while seeing the city and sights. Very tidy apartment and comfy bed!
