We were made to feel welcome from the outset, when Michael offered to pick us up from the station with all our luggage. They showed us all around the house, how everything worked and where everything was etc. and then graciously let us have the run of the house pretty much. They were very caring yet unobtrusive hosts. They were especially caring with regards to our two-year old son Oliver. We slept well thanks to the quiet room and comfortable bed.
On one of the last evenings of our stay, Gen made a wonderful dinner for us all and we had a lovely evening. After our stay, we had to go to Edinburgh for a few days. To avoid us having to cart all our stuff around, Michael dropped us off at Gatwick, and then picked us up again upon our return and then took us to Heathrow. They even looked after our surplus luggage while we were in Edinburgh. Not a lot of people would go to that much trouble. Above and beyond the 'call of duty'.
Un gran merci, Gen and Michael.
Gen and Michael were incredibly welcoming and although I stayed only one night they made me feel very comfortable and instantly at home.
The room was very clean and comfortable and they have a great place.
Gen and Michael are kind, hospitable and generous. They bent over backwards to make me feel welcome, and to work round my routine (or lack thereof). The room was as described and the bed genuinely comfortable, a big bonus. I enjoyed staying with them and would highly recommend them to others.
It was really nice to stay at Gen and Michaels great clean room and a shared bathroom, but fabulously clean! Great hosts and very helpful!
I had a very comfortable stay with Gen and Michael. Michael gave me a warm welcome when I arrived in the evening and showed me to a large bedroom with a big comfortable bed. I was out for the evening and only stayed one night, so I wasn't around the house that much. But overall a very convenient and comfortable overnight stop!
