We are well known for providing a lovely experience that feels just like home. The house has a large, fenced in yard (dog-friendly), grill, hot tub, fire pit and cozy, modern interior. We invite you to kick back, relax and spend time in one of the best Airbnbs in Asheville.
The space
This recently updated special hideaway is just 9.7 miles from the very center of Asheville and close to the south entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The entire home and half-acre fenced property would be totally yours during your stay. We offer privacy but we are also available for any needs that may arise. There are two spacious bedrooms, one full bath and a large kitchen in this 1200 sq. foot house. The large outdoor areas offer even more living space.
THE BEDROOMS
Fine linens on new, comfy foam mattresses make the bedrooms feel even more like home. Special attention has been brought forth for the color, feel and ambiance for each room to create a peaceful sleeping environment. Both have large closets with plenty of storage space for comfortable unpacking opportunities. The bedroom with the large windows offers an inside/outside living experience while still featuring blackout curtains so nice sleeping or napping chances are easily achieved.
THE LIVING ROOM
Fresh and modern decorations make this living space a perfect place to gather. The TV features Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime (no cable). There are board games and books in the hall cabinet for relaxing days and family time.
We have fresh sheets and pillows for the new Sealy Sofa Sleeper, so if you have an extra guests or children, the house can sleep 6. Please let us know ahead of time so we can leave them out and remember there is only one full bathroom.
THE KITCHEN
If you don’t feel like venturing out for every meal, we have you covered. The kitchen is large and equipped with all new appliances. We have all you need for a fully functioning house, such as pots and pans, oils and spices, baking dishes and wine glasses. We also provide a coffee station featuring good filter coffee and tea.
The kitchen table seats a total of 5 comfortably. There are 3 chairs and a pull put bench along the wall that seats 2.
Don’t feel like cooking? There are delicious food delivery options as well that I can provide for you upon request.
THE OUTSIDE SPACE
The large outdoor areas offer even more oportunities for entertainment. You can grill on the deck, relax by the fire pit on the stone patio or lounge in the secluded hot tub. The hot tub is not only soothing after a long day of exploring but turn the temperature down and little and it makes a perfect splash and play activity for kids all year. You even have marshmallow roasting sticks (in kitchen) for s'mores by the fire pit and yard games for sunny days. A hammock hangs near the deck and you’ll also see an apple tree, a grapevine and many plants that my mother and I have planted over the years. A medium-height fence surrounds the private yard which allows us to make the property pet-friendly. It's a little oasis in which you will feel right at home.
BABY FRIENDLY
Since we are also parents, we are baby and kid friendly. The house comes with a Graco Pack n' Play with a mattress and sheets, a booster seat highchair with tray, a baby monitor so you can relax on the deck while the child sleeps, toys and books and children's dinnerware. The inside of the house is all on one level so baby or toddler can freely roam. If you need a babysitter, I would be happy to provide recommendations.
THE LOCATION
The house is located just 2 minutes from convenience stores and restaurants and 5 minutes from grocery stores. Downtown Asheville is an 18 min drive, West Asheville 15 min, Biltmore 19 min, Mission Hospital 19 min, Asheville Airport 21 min, Waynesville 28 min, Maggie Valley 31 min) I have made an online house manual as well as a physical one (located on the kitchen bar) that highlights drugstores, grocery stores, restaurants, hiking trails and not-to-be-missed Asheville happenings, like the LaZoom! Tour.
Uber ($15 downtown) and Taxis are easily available but a bus service is not.
TO NOTE
-Pets are allowed with small pet fee. Please see section below called "Other things to note" for details.
-Small bundles of firewood for the fire pit can be purchased at the Ingles close to the house.
-There is a road adjacent to the house where you will occasionally hear cars go by.
-The house has central heat and AC and a Nest Thermostat.
-There is a Nest video doorbell and camera on the driveway only. The rest is not in sight and private. This is for security and peace of mind being a live-away homeowner.
-This is not a party house....
This is our home and we are happy to get to share it with you. I lived here for many years before marrying and moving to Europe, where I live now. I’ve tried to make the house a comfortable, cozy and fun environment and think you will feel it as well. We appreciate your thoughtful consideration and respect in keeping it nice for us and others.

Guest access
Guests will have access to entire home (except basement) and fenced 1/2 acre property. The house is on a combination door lock to allow flexible check in/out. You will be given a code right before your stay. It will be programmed into the front door for the duration of your stay.
Other things to note
Pets/Dogs-
We know it is important to take the entire family when going on vacation and dogs are part of the family so we have tried to create a nice space in order for you to do that easily.
We ask that all pets be treated for fleas. There are white linens on the beds and a light colored new sofa and chairs so please watch Doggie's paws. We provide doggie sheets and towels for you to use to cover things. Also, there are plastic bags provided and it is required that you are meticulous in picking up after Doggie. This way people without pets can also enjoy the yard.
If your furry friend gets anxious when you leave the house, we encourage you to bring a crate.
We do have a pet fee of $15 a night per dog, which I will request the day before your stay. You should receive a notification via Airbnb through your linked email. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.
If there are any questions or concerns about pets, fees, or requirements, please let me know before booking. For longer stays (over a week) with multiple dogs, I am willing to work with you on pricing. Just send me a note.
