Other Things to Note
Sydney inner-city living is full of amazing hustle & bustle. Never a dull moment, always something brilliant to do - you will never get bored. When the windows are open, there is an electricity that you can feel from the city. Simply close the balcony door and bay windows, and most of the sound is muted so that you can feel at home in your own private space.
- Treat the home as if you would your parents home.
- Please no smoking or pets.
Communication with Ryan was very quick and effective.
The location of the apartment is optimal, at walking distance from Oxford street and CDB (may be a bit more than the 3.5 minutes of the description).
Check-in and check-out were very smooth too.
The place is spacious, and like shown in the picture (although the pictures were taken on a sunny day, the apartment looks much darker (but I was there in Autumn)
On the flip side, the bedroom is facing a busy street. This makes the whole apartment very (very) noisy. Even with ear-plugs during the nights I was awaken by the noise of the traffic in the morning.
(disclaimer: for that reason I asked Ryan (unsuccessfully) to allow me to shorten my stay)
It seems that there is no central heating system, and the first night was pretty chilly. Ryan was quick to bring an portable heater. Not sure how this will work in Winter.
There is no a place to unpack in the flat. All closet are either closed or full of the host stuff. Even not a place to hang a shirt.
We headed to Sydney for a couple of nights for a concert. Ryan's apartment is in a great area with some great food and coffee around. The apartment well kept, clean and spacious with all you need. Ryan was a very helpful host with some hints and tips on the surrounding area. The communication was clear and Ryan was easily contactable. We also recommend the location for proximity.
Awesome stay, thanks Ryan!!
Ryan and Kate were excellent hosts. Communication was top notch. Quite possibly the best I've ever experienced in all of my Airbnb interactions. Their place in Darlinghurst was exactly what my brother and I needed for our stay in Sydney. Close to everything you need. One of us was on the bed and the other on the comfortable sofa each night, which was completely fine. Was so happy to see the blender here. We put it to good use each day. For those that looking to exercise during their stay, City Gym is just around the corner (on Crown St). We got a 2 week membership for our 10 days, as it made sense. When we come back, we'd totally stay here again!
Ryan and Kate were great hosts, very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. There home was in a great neighborhood that was fun and easy to walk around. We loved the Vietnamese (Misschu's) across the street. Thank you! -Angelina
Apartment as shown in photos. We were met on arrival and made very welcome. Darling Harbour and Circular Quay walkable but there is a bus stop just outside the apartment going into the city and out to the coast. Good central location with everything you need. Can recommend.
We had a lovely stay! Ryan and Kate were very friendly and easy to get in contact with. The location was amazing and the apartment itself was perfect!
We spent 10 days in this delightful condo over New Year’s. We couldn’t have stayed in a more convenient location. Hyde Park, the Botanical Gardens, Surrey Hills were all a short walk as were all the amenities - groceries, restaurants and pubs. We particularly enjoyed MissChu, a locally famous (and rightly so) Vietnamese takeout situated right across the street. I could have eaten their fabulous spring rolls nightly. Ryan was very responsive and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed comfortable and having laundry facilities was handy. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
