Interaction with Guests
I'm happy to answer questions and give recommendations or information about Austin when someone stays with me.
Apart from being in a great location and close to all the action, the neighborhood is quiet and charming with historic homes and tree-lined streets.
It is in easy walking distance to South Congress, 1st Street and Lamar. It's also close to Auditorium Shores, which is known for its live music festivals, as well as Town Lake, where you can go jogging on the running trail or just enjoy people-watching.
Delicious restaurants like Bouldin Creek Cafe, Elizabeth St. Cafe and Sway or food trailers like Torchy's Tacos are easily walkable, while fine dining places like Barley Swine or Uchi are quickly accessible from my place as well.
When you're done feasting, you can always head over to places like the famous Continental Club for late night fun too.
The #5 bus which leaves right out front will take you directly downtown in 7 minutes. If you want to bike around, there is also a bike rental station at the end of my street. Otherwise, the beautiful walk downtown has scenic views of the lake and city.
First rule: I want you to feel welcome and at home. If there is any way that I can improve your experience, please let me know.
Rules for the comfort of everyone: No smoking indoors and please be fairly quiet after midnight.
