I can only speak highly of Rumiko and chikashi and their homestay! They do everything to make you feel at home! It feels a little like staying with relatives you really like. The house is very nice and clean as well as the room. I had a very comfortable bed. I was welcomed warmly and even picked up at the train station. At dinner I got to know the other guests which was very nice and we had a little origami session. The food, by the way, was unbelievably delicious! One day I wasn't feeling very good, so Rumiko and chikashi took me to the beach with their lovely grandchildren. To put it in a nutshell: anyone visiting fukuoka should stay there! They are the best kind of people!
My 2-night experience at Matsuda's family was unforgettable. The host is very helpful and also very eager to know about foreign culture. At my first day when I arrive at Kashii station, Rumiko picked me up by car and described how to walk back from home to station and explain to me all the necessary information about living at their home. Moreover, she also suggests me where to travel in Fukuoka or nearby places.
I also got a chance to eat breakfast at their home, too which is I do recommend. (with extra 300 yen which is very cheap given the big portion Rumiko made for me). I didn't get a chance to try their dinner but another Korean girl I met at this listings did also recommend since Mr.Chikashi is very keen on cooking. :)
I also got a chance to walk to the bay nearby with Rumiko, Hayoeng (Korean friend I met) and Shinichi (Japanese guy who lives in the same listing and also very helpful) which to me, my good moment to get to know them better. :)
Overall, I did recommend this place to the travellers who want to get to know about Japanese culture and also exchange opinions. The bedroom is clean same as the bathroom. Only thing that you need to spare is that since this listing is not that near to Hakata station, 12-minute from Kashii station and walking time need to take into account for the travelling plan.
Thank you Matduda's family for my good time at your home and also a chance to meet good friends both Hayoeng and Shinichi. Till we meet again!
Chikashi and his wife are very nice hosts!
He is a great cook and you should definitely try his food at least once during your trip!
He also picked me up from the station and his wife brought me back there on my last day! Really appreciated this!
Would definitely come back!
The house is not far away from the train station, less than 10 mins walk. They actually so nice to pick me up at the station on the first day I arrived! Chikashi couple are really nice, and the meals Chikashi made as well. Highly recommended!
Best stay experience during my half month japan trip. A very short stayed but I already feel it. Everything is nice, from our Owner, to their home and the food done specially from our owner !! I was lucky to stay in their traditional tatami room, best experience!. Will visit you all again :-).

I was traveling around the world from a teenager. I was a hippie. I have taken care to many people at that time. And, family ties was born. I am connected with them even now. My motto is, that to cherish the encounter with people.
And that is to value the ties. Based on this philosophy, I have run a guest house to support the stay of foreigners.
