Other things to note
The entire upper floor of the lodge is included in the price per night. A beautiful outdoor wedding venue is available for an additional fee.

One of the beauties of Mountain Laurel Farm is its rural location. Surrounded by grass and forest, we share the area with many native plants, animals, and insects – while the beautiful butterflies and busy honey bees are a joy to watch; unfortunately, some of them are the annoying biting varieties – chiggers, no-see-ums, mosquitoes, deer and horse flies, and many others. Being in the beautiful outdoors more than offsets the possibility of bothersome bites, and we always have some insect repellant on hand that we encourage you to use as well as citronella candles when you are outdoors. Also, we suggest keeping the doors closed, especially at night as even low light attracts insects, and this one thing will greatly help you avoid sharing your meals and sleeping quarters with some of our more persistent insect neighbors. Should you find that you are experiencing uncomfortable welts or itching a few traditional home remedies to provide relief for insect bites include oatmeal, baking soda, ice, aloe vera, witch hazel, and tea tree oil.

The Lodge at Mountain Laurel Farm is a full-service rental which means we provide linens, a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, etc.) and bathrooms right down to the paper towels, toilet paper, basic toiletries, garbage pick-up, and much more.
