At Hostal Tecali we provide cheap, rustic cabins that are ideal for backpackers. With a scenic backdrop of plantain fields, the isthmus, and the two volcanoes, the cabins are simple and eco-friendly. The first cabin has three beds, two twin size and one double, all with mosquito nets and fans. It has a private bathroom. The second cabin has two floors, with three beds on each floor, all with mosquito nets and fans. We have internet and electricity, and our prices include breakfast.

What a great stay. Nelly organised transport from the ferry to her place and has all the local contacts you need. She organised a local to rent us a scooter for a few days to get around. The trail up Volcan Maderas starts just 200m from her gate.
