Where you’ll be

Paris, Île-de-France, France

50m from the Picasso Museum and 5 minutes' walk to the Place des Vosges, in the heart of the historic Marais district.
The apartment is located in a very beautiful 17th century mansion classified Historic Monument.
This hotel was built in 1619 for Nicolas de Croisilles, King's Councillor. It consisted of a corps de logis between courtyard and garden that turned first on a right wing and then on a left wing attached to the corps de logis in 1665. It served from 1898 as a Christian home for young girls
The street façade was rebuilt in 1800
The Hotel de Croisilles, is emblematic of the preservation of the marsh in the 1960s when it was meant to shave most of the neighborhood. The facades on the courtyard and on the old garden, as well as the corresponding roofs were classified in 1961.
We are near Place des Vosges, built under Louis XIII, the father of Louis XIV. One of the corners of the square is Victor Hugo's house, which you can visit and which is interesting. The visit is free because it is a museum of the City of Paris. The same goes for the Carnavalet Museum, located just behind us, which presents the history of the City of Paris. You can see models and signs from the Middle Ages, paintings of the French Revolution, etc., all presented in a mansion. The Picasso Museum is not far away either and it has finally reopened after many years of work. There is also an old market that overlooks the rue de Bretagne, the Red Children's Market, which is worth visiting.

For centuries the home to Parisian aristocracy, the Marais is very centrally located on the right bank of the Seine and spans the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. Today, it is one of the capital's most desirable districts to call home – and with its mix of twisting little streets, ancient squares, historic buildings and lively bars and restaurants it is not hard to see why. This area allows a visitor to step back in Parisian history simply by roaming the quaint neighborhood. Do not miss a stroll round the majestic Place des Vosges or the Musée Picasso. All of Paris is accessible from this special apartment.

During your stay

Arrival and departure times are flexible based on availability and we're always happy to help you if we can with your luggage storage if needed before check in/out. There are good luggage storage places around Paris. The best is called City Locker and you can find them on the Internet. If another guest is not booked the night prior to your stay, you may arrive as early as you'd like too (pre-arranged with us).

If there is a guest booked the night prior to your arrival, that guest has until 11am to check out and then we need to fully clean the apartment. Normal check out time is 11 am but we are happy to be flexible on this (pre-arranged with us and based on availability) and let you check out later if no one is booked the night of your departure. Normal check in time is 3pm or later but again we are willing to be flexible if no one is booked the night prior. Many of our guests who know they are going to arrive early and want to be guaranteed of being able to get into the apartment book the night prior to their arrival.

Late arrivals (after 8 pm) will be invoiced 40 euros and (after 10pm) will be invoiced 50 euros to be paid cash at the check-in.
