About This Listing
Centrally located, this one bedroom apartment is ready to show you a true San Francisco experience. The neighborhood has a wide range of restaurants, small shops and bars reflecting the melting pot of cultures.
The Apartment is located on the second story of a two story building, above a popular art Gallery in the Tenderloin. When it's not rented for airbnb, the space houses international artists that show at the gallery. The space is ideal for 2-4 people, with two queen beds in the bedroom.
There is a large roof which guests are welcome to enjoy from 6am-10pm, like a backyard space. We enjoy lunching on the roof regularly and live in the second apartment across the hallway. The roof is shared, otherwise the apartment is private.
Interaction with Guests
Because we also live in the building, we can be accessed easily for inquiries or recommendations. We also enjoy privacy and can respect yours, so friendly hellos in the hallway are fine and you can be left to enjoy your adventure.
The neighborhood is vibrant, with a mixture of residential and commercial buildings. There are tons of places to eat and drink and explore without being too "touristy", it feels like a true San Francisco neighborhood.
Public transit runs all around the area. We are very central, everywhere that you want to get to in the city is most likely walking distance or a short bus ride.
Other Things to Note
There is street parking in the neighborhood which is metered from around 9 am to 6 pm, and a few different parking garages close by that charge around $25/day.
Was a very cool place to stay, lots of really interesting art pieces throughout the apartment. Central location which was great for moving around and the outside deck area was also a cool place to chill. Would definitely stay here again!
This apartment is absolutely gorgeous! Better than it's photos. We absolutely loved the rooftop patio to enjoy the great wether. Also, it was so spacious and well decorated. Helen was an amazing host. She was prompt with communicating with us. Would absolutely stay here again:)
This place was great, really big for a San Fransisco flat, clean and really well located. Helen was great during the two days we spend there, the communication was great and she helped us with pleasure. In addition, two lovely cats were there hanging around in the terrasse which is a real plus. I totally recommend it!
Our host, Helen, was very nice and informative. Gave great suggestions for food and activities during our stay. We LOVED the loft!!! It was spacious and the rooftop terrace was a definite plus. You can definitely hear the noise from the street and earplugs are provided by Helen if you don't like it but that noise actually put us to sleep. I would recommend this loft to anyone that wants to experience downtown San Francisco.
Helen met us during our check in, the place was just as described, very cozy place with an open roof. If you leave the door open her two lovely cats might come visit too! ;) Had a great time here, walking distance to the train station too, about 15 mins walk.
Helen was a wonderful host, and the place was even better than expected! The apartment has wonderful art throughout, and also has a great rooftop area with two highly sociable cats. It was very clean, with nice linens. Helen was most accommodating! It is an easy walk to Union Square, and there are a range of nice restaurants, a wine bar, and what looked like fun art & collectible shops closeby. I would highly recommend this Artsy flat!! I will return.
