This charming duplex apartment is located in the historic heart of the old town in a house dating from the 15th century. Parking garage, bus stops within 3 3-minutes walking-distance. All sights and festivals in walking distance.
Equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, this nicely decorated apartment boasts a spacious kitchen with an adjoining, cozy dining room where the fireplace is the perfect focal point. Exposed wooden beams ensure a warm atmosphere.
A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, where a mezzanine office area, a living room with flat-screen TV, and a bathroom with a bath and a shower can be found. 4 guests can sleep across 2 bedrooms, one of which has an I-Pod docking station. A WC is also available.
The flat is in the second floor (no escalator), the stairway is full of historic flair.
You have full privacy in the flat, nothing is to share.
Interaction with Guests
I moved to the beautiful Atterlake 60 km out of town and will bi not present during the stay. A well experienced team including tour guides (also for special interests) will be at your service for check in, etc.
The apartment is situated in the vibrant Andräviertel District, discover cozy restaurants and interesting local shops. The Großes Festspielhaus Festival Hall is 10 minutes’ away on foot.
Many handicrafts, old shops and countless restaurants can be found along the beautiful old district of Linzer Gasse. Feel the historic flair and spirit of this unique place.
Public transfer is very convient, 3 minutes to the bus stations, taxi point or parking garage, 15 minutes to central train station. All sightseeing Highlights (including city mountains) in walking distance. The next parking garage is 3 minutes to walk (weekly costs are cheaper than 3-days!)

Checkout in the morning is 10 am, check in after 3.30 pm.
Please respect no smoking and the privacy of my neighbours who want to sleep at night. This is a no smoking area, animals after agreement.
Isle was a fantastic host and accommodated our late arrival, which was above and beyond what should be normally expected. The location is superb, and the house was in great shape. We would highly recommend staying there when visiting Salzburg.
Great flat in a very central location. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Ilse and Nicole even left us chocolates on the front door one evening! Will definitely be revisiting.
My family and I spent our christmas vacation at this amazing flat in Salzburg. It was the perfect location with lots of room. The apartment was nicely heated and we had everything we needed. The check-in process was great and we will suggest this flat to our friends!
The flat was wonderful. Beautiful original features created a very homely atmosphere. Location was ideal and there was even a copy of The Sound of Music to watch in anticipation of the tour!
The apartment was very central in a lovely boutique shopping area about 10 minutes walk from the river and the old town in one direction, 10 minutes to the main train station in the other. Layout is great, spacious, light and airy. The whole place is thoughtfully decorated and the facilities good for a small family or friends sharing. Two separate bedrooms. Towels, clothes washing liquids, everything is provided.
It is a rental place - not somewhere the host lives - so a trip to the local Spar (across the road) is needed if you want to cook anything or make coffee in the apartment - no herbs or spices or oil or any other cooking supplies (though the kitchen is well equipped). It closes at 6pm most days and isn't open Sunday, so make sure you have what you need.
We loved the dining area, a great social space and there was a DVD copy of The Sound of Music, just in case!

- Location is perfect, right in the middle of the old town.
- Our communication with Ilse was timely.
- Although the apartment is very old, it was clean and has all the modern conveniences.
Things that could be improved:
- Something should be done about the musty odor.
- A microwave should be provided.
- Potential clients should be warned that they need to be fit to use this location since there are 2 series of steep and narrow stairs to get to the apartment and another to get to the bedrooms. Going up these stairs can be tricky and tiring with suitcases.
- The bed in one of the bedrooms should be changed since it squeaks terribly at every small movement.
