The Space

(Double bed in bedroom & Double sofa bed in Living room. Oh and an extra couch just for feet up TV watching)

Great for anyone coming to get to know Dublin and wants to experience the hustle and bustle of this cultured city whilst getting a good nights rest in a quiet garden apt.

Being someone who travels a lot myself, I chose this apt for a few simple reasons:
It's a central location with no noise entering from the bust surrounding city.
Has a fully equipped kitchen.
Spacious and warm through those cold Irish nights.
Eco friendly

Guest Access

Private residential garden
Fully equipped kitchen
Washing machine

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Appartement très proche de temple bar, au calme ! Rare a Dublin !!
Petit effort sur la salle de bain et le ménage a prévoir !
Idéal pour un court séjour !

  • Mike's apartment is in a great location for exploring Dublin. The whole complex is quiet and peaceful - a nice change from the bustle if Dublin just outside the gates. Shower needs some work but is functional, nothing else negative at all.

  • The neighborhood is safe and ideal if you like good cafes and Italian food. Mike is a very obliging host and while the apartment is a bit old and dated it has all the amenities that you could want with a lovely garden setting

  • The Good: Excellent location. You are 3 -5 minutes from O'Connell Street and 2-3 minutes from Temple Bar. Walk across Ha'Penny Bridge, and into the neighborhood and your food and drink options are endless. Safe location. Felt very comfortable walking around at anytime. Layout of room is nice, and there is plenty of room. WIFI worked very good.

Opportunities for Improvement: Mold in Bathroom, should be not be hard to remedy. The kitchen has most necessities. The stove only works on Grill, instead of bake, which makes it hard to cook Pizza. There was no TV reception at all - frustrating during the world cup. Mikes communication before checkin was good, and we allowed our arrival before Noon (Thank you), but did not respond to other communication. Key pickup from SPAR store next door ok, However he did not check us in as advertised, as he was traveling, so we were left to figure out the place on our own. No hot water for first day as we were unsure how the hot water heater timer worked. Afterward, water is DANGEROUSLY SCALDING hot. Towels were hanging up in bedroom drying (hopefully after being washed). Not much organization in kitchen. Everything appeared to be clean, but utensils were scattered in drawer, which gives the perception of being a little "ickey".

If you are a confident independent traveler, you will have no problems with this place. If you need some hand-holding during your visit, be clear about your expectations.

  • I stayed one night with my parents in dublin and we were very comfortable in mike's flat. The flat is very well located in the city centre. Everything was clean and properly working. The check in was very easy and we found the flat really really easy. I would definitely stay again in this flat if i go back to dublin.

  • Mike's apartment is as central as you can hope for. And yet, very quiet. The moment you leave the apartment you have a wide choice of restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Mike was very accommodating and flexible with our arrival and departure. We had one problem while there with internet, but he had it back and running as soon as he could. I recommend his apartment and I would stay again.

  • Great place for visiting Dublin centre. Where the photos say "Your front door view" with a view of the liffey river thats not accurate but its as central as you could hope for and the exchange for keys etc was all fine. Would stay again for sure.

  • The location was central to everything in dublin. Complex gardens were beautiful. Mike responded to email.
However, there was no hot water and no heat and the shower head was hanging from the wall. The instructions for turning on heat and hot water were inadequate. The apartment would be fine with a little attention to detail by the owner. Futon was hard as rock and we could not figure out how to open sofa bed.

I agree with most of the previous recent comments.

  • The neighborhood was terrific and the location was unbelievable. The apartment is extremely safe and quiet. Mike was very helpful though he was out of the country and the communications were a bit slow. The instructions on use of heat, water heater, TV and stove were a bit hard to decipher but everything worked and we were comfortable. Maybe not a good fit for more than two people but we stayed for two weeks and would do it again.

  • Location was fantastic! Just over the bridge from temple bar. Unfortunately, couldn't get heating to work, only small electric one. Shame about the Cleanliness if apartment charged a lot for cleaning side if things when it wasn't overly clean to begin with.
