2 beautifully decorated rooms are $70-$75 each
(1 person in a room) depending on the day of the week & time of year. The Baja & Hawaiian rooms are next to each other on one side of the house. Large shared bathroom & outdoor hot tub.
These 2 bedrooms are next to each other at the other end of the house and a short walk down the hallway to the huge bathroom with double sinks and the door out to the hot tub patio. Given the separation, this makes for lots of privacy. I often rent these 2 rooms to friends and family traveling together. Rent at airbnb under this ad only if you want both rooms. Go to my other 2 separate ads to rent for one room, either The Hawaiian Room or The Baja Room.
Great wi-fi connection. Two bikes to use...one has 21 gears and the other has none.
I have soft coolers, beach/stadium chairs and more for you to use. Plenty of shampoo, conditioner, lotions.....Leave these things at home and save the air baggage charges! Ask me if there's something you need.
These Fall days have been really warm and sunny. Our nights are cool from the marine influence but this just heightens the experience of sitting in the hot tub under the stars and getting so toasty warm.
The days are gloriously warm and the gardens are resting but still so beautiful. Large groups of birds are eating the bird seed and Hummingbird nectar I put out as fast as I can replenish it. It is always a beautiful time of the year in the garden.
There is a luxury 200 square foot bathroom with double sinks that is shared by all of us.
You are welcome to use the kitchen for the microwave to heat up your prepared foods....but no large meal preparation, please. There's an electric stainless steel kettle for heating water and a coffeemaker, and you may help yourself to coffee beans, the grinder and a variety of teas. Bring your own dairy milk as I have non dairy milks only. If I am traveling you would have unlimited use of the kitchen but I then ask that you leave the house in the condition found and may charge a cleaning fee .....can be totally reimbursed if the house is left as found.
This location is a great jumping off point to see not only Sebastopol but also three incredibly beautiful wine regions in the nearby Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Alexander Valley. The Wine Road in northern Sonoma county is described in "Where the Locals Go" with beautiful wineries, views and picnic areas along the way. As well there are over 100 wineries within a 10-30 minute drive. Most wineries have lovely picnic areas for public use.
There are superb restaurants nearby, both budget and gourmet in Sebastopol, long a farming area and now an organic and healthy eating mecca. Many restaurants use local, organic vegetables in their kitchens. Sebastopol has 3 Japanese restaurants, 2 Thai restaurants, the best vegetarian restaurant in the county, Slice of Life, a vegan, gluten-free gourmet rstaurant in an old train and numerous muy sabroso Mexican taquerias and gourmet restaurants. As well we have a French organic restaurant, The French Garden, and another organic California cuisine establishment, Peter Lowell's. The famous wood-fired brick oven gourmet bread bakery in Freestone, Wild Flour Bread, is nearby on the road to Bodega Bay where you can buy cheese, olive fennel and other savory breads as well as sweet ginger, pear and other sweet whole grain delicacies. People flock here from all over the Bay Area to join in this historical food growing and tasting bounty.
Sebastopol has historically been a farming community. There are wonderful farms with local vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, various local cheeses, berries, hayrides, wool. Many farms are organic and some are U-Pick farms, see FARM TRAILS SONOMA COUNTY online. There is a Farmer's Market on the Sebastopol town plaza on Sundays from 10-1pm.
This is an affordable and pleasant accommodation for visiting friends and family or wedding guests. And this is a great stopover for people traveling or those wanting to explore Sonoma County or the San Francisco Bay Area. The Golden Gate Bridge is 55 miles south on 101, the Russian River resort area & the Pacific Ocean/Bodega Bay is 1/2 hr drive & Santa Rosa is a 10-15 minute drive. We're 4.5 miles from Route 101, off Route 116 West.
Take a hot air balloon ride or kayak on Tomales Bay.
As well Sonoma County has beautiful hiking, biking, birding, big redwood trees, coastal trails, swimming, canoeing, antique shops, Open Art Studio weekends, Celtic Music Festival, Apple Festivals Parades & Festivals in Spring and late Summer, Petaluma Victorian home tours, theaters and great restaurants! There are over 100 wineries within a 30 minute drive.
Total cost for the 2 rooms together is $120 - $150/night (depending on the season and if you want weekday nights or weekend nights or if you want to stay on a holiday and if you are 1 or 2 persons in a room). If you are 2 friends traveling alone, weekday nights will be $140 and weekend nights $150 in Spring/Summer/Fall but $120 in Winter. There will be an added cost of $10/night for each guest above 2, $875/week if 2-4....book one room at my other listing for $69-$89/night and $499-$559/week depending on the season. Rent at airbnb under this ad only if you want both rooms. Go to my other 2 separate ads to rent one of the other single rooms, The Hawaiian Room or The Baja Room.
I look forward to sharing this beautiful home with you! You will be most welcome! I often stay away from the house so you will have privacy if you rent both rooms.
Bedroom, Shared Bathroom, Living Room, Kitchen for tea, coffee and prepared food (yoghurt, fruit, prepared salads and the like), Garden, Hot Tub, Deck, Patio with BBQ
Interaction with Guests
I'm available for questions about exploring the area. I like talking with guests if they want that and want to help make your stay more enjoyable. I often stay away from the house so you will have privacy if you rent both rooms.
Walkable country roads, quiet neighborhood, post agricultural but still some horses, sheep. Lots of birds, nesting Barn Owls and lots of WInter resident birds.
You will need a car here unless you have a bike and are used to using it for transport. There is one local bus per day about a 1/2 mile walk away and 5 miles to the Golden Gate Transit buses to San Francisco, 6 miles to Airporter to SFO and OAK.
Other Things to Note
If you're a birder, I have lots of local information about Audubon walks or where to go in the area. There are lots of beautiful birds right here on this property including Allen's and Anna's Hummingbirds, Barn Owls, a Townsend's Warbler.

A lovely house, a lovely warm hostess. Thank you Vicki! I'd definitely stay with you again.
Vicki was very accommodating. We had a very late check in (near midnight) but it was very easy to figure it out. There were helpful notes all around which made for a very easy stay. The rooms were both fun decorated themes and were cozy. The hot tub made for wonderful sunday morning.
The other folks staying there were also very helpful - one of them gave me a ride into Santa Rosa even saving me the expensive cab fare! Really nice people.
Vicki was an awesome host, which was apparent from the beginning including phone calls/text and very detailed guidelines via e-mail. The place was clean with wonderful decorations that exceed what you see in the photos. Once you arrive, you instantly feel at home!
Perfect place for a weekend in Sonoma. Vicki is an amazing host that gors above and beyond to make your stay unforgetabble. Plus relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of wine tasting cannot be beaten:) I highly recommend.
Vicki's house was adorable and perfect. We spent 2 nights there and had everything we needed. She laid out everything around the house so you could easily follow instructions. House was excellently furnished and the garden area was lovely. We very much enjoyed being guests at her place.
Vicki is an extremely warm and welcoming host. Her house is exactly as described; spotlessly clean, and well-organized, and includes a hot tub and lovely gardens. We look forward to returning in the future!
Vicki is a friendly and kind host. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if the occasion arises. We loved hanging out in her beautiful yard, watching the many hummingbirds and soaking in the hot tub under the stars. We each had our own comfortable and well decorated room which was perfect. Thank you Vicki!

Happily retired!. Love sharing my Sonoma County home with visitors. Been traveling lots in the last years when I am not volunteer teaching English and playing and performing ukulele.
I'm a proud Mom and Grandma and am appreciating my 3 childrens' growth into lovely humans. I am open to exchanges especially with people who have stayed here already. I especially like to travel to Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico (that's one place but a mouthful!). I kayak in Baja and in the SF Bay Area. I do publicity for the company that I worked for as a sea kayak guide in the early 90s and love telling anyone about Baja, Paddling/Saddling South, the outfitter who I represent and kayaking and riding mules up to the Central Baja Great Mural Cave Art.....stunning beauty!
I also like to travel....my trips in the last few years include Ireland, The Amazon, Amsterdam, England and Wales, Baja California, Costa Rica, Turkey, Dominica, Belize, Vancouver, Yosemite, Hawaii, Cancun and Tulum, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, Phoenix and Sedona, Big Sur Coast, Vermont.
My latest passion is playing the ukulele and singing with local groups at jams, practices, sing-a-longs and performances.
And I love hosting folks from airbnb.
