Stay in this bright, cosy, quirky and spacious mews house, laid out over 2 floors on a charming and peaceful cobbled street in the heart of South Kensington. Comfortably sleeps 4, in two rather large double bedrooms (one of which en-suite).
Seconds from the hip restaurants, bars and Cafes on Old Brompton and Fulham Road, a short stroll from the shopping hub of High Street Kensington and a hop, a skip and a jump from the ever buzzing King's Road.
Situated in a dream location, the house is walking distance to the Natural History and Victoria & Albert Museums, the Royal Albert Hall, Saatchi Gallery and Hyde Park. Whether you’re Ice skating at the open ring at the Natural History Museum, spending time in Winter Wonderland or just strolling in South Kensington’s picturebook-perfect back streets, you’ll find yourself enchanted. And, should you need to get into the centre of town , you'd be a 5 minute walk from both South Kensington and Gloucester Road tube stations, both on the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines with exceptional transportation links that provide easy access to all airports and all London destinations. There is also a Barclays bike dock at the end of the mews, and plenty of buses and night buses.
Available from 12th of April, the house has 2 spacious double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms - (one of which en-suite), a comfortable living room (with an indoor working fire place), a dining room and fully equipped kitchen (washing machine & dryer, dish washer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine & kettle). On offer per night (inclusive of all bills, high-speed wireless internet, flat screen TV & cable, cleaner, towels and bed linen)
London Mews streets tend to have a community feel, all houses have their front entrance to the cobbled, quiet street and therefore we all tend to use the street as our front garden. We all have tables, chairs, benches, plants and flowers in front of our houses and whether permitting enjoy sitting outside in the privacy of our street. It feels a little bit like being in the countryside, when in fact you are right in the heart of the city.
Our stay in Athina’s mews house was wonderful.
We were warmly welcomed by a friend of Athina who showed us around the house and explained what we could find in the neighborhood.
The environment is typical of central London and yet very quiet. You can find nearby many restaurants, public transport (south Kensington station, buses) as well as museums (Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert) ... and shops (Harrods), of course!
The mew house is exactly as shown in the photos and quite comfortable. The house is modern with a personal and artistic touch which gives it a rare charm.
We are a family with two kids and we enjoyed the space in the house: two rooms with the two bathrooms is a great advantage for families like us.
We have already recommended this address and would stay again at Athina’s place with great pleasure when we’ll be back in London!
Nice stay in Kensington. Everything was correct, comfortable, tidy and clean. Very calm place but well conected. Athina was in a hurry, because she was leaving by plane but 10 min was enough.
We had a very good time at Athina's apartment. The place is in a beautiful street in a fun neighborhood.
Great location by South Kensington tube and a lovely mews house full of character. Our host made sure everything was smooth and we had a wonderful stay. Thanks Athina.
All we can say is WOW! What a beautiful home in a truly unique London neighborhood with everything you need just steps away....including Harrods. Great restaurants, wine shops, groceries, and near two tube stops. Athina is the ultimate hostess. Being out of the country Athina had her beautiful friend greet us and show us around and made us feel instantly at home. The house is a Mews house which has its own unique history but has been lovingly modernized and has lots of personal and artsy touches. We are a family of three and were traveling with our teenage son. Everyone had enough space and privacy. Having laundry on-site was a great addition and the two full bathrooms worked out well. We can't wait to return to London and stay in this fantastic home again!
We enjoyed this mews house very much. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube stops, and a number of bus lines nearby as well. Within walking distance of the V&A and Natural History museums, Harrods (a bit of a jaunt), numerous restaurants, etc.
The house is a great size for a family of four, which we are. There were a few issues with the home -- things that one lives with in ones own home, but which can a bit of an inconvenience when traveling, and which I know were scheduled to be repaired right after our visit -- but at the end of the day we were very happy with the house, the location, and our host's responsiveness.
We were in London during the hottest 3 days so far this year, but the house has ample skylights, which allowed us to keep the house comfortable. Also worth noting is the lovely mews street on which the house is located. It is remarkably quiet and peaceful, which is great in the midst of a big city like London. Neighbors ate dinner outside in front of their houses and children played games in the street, as the mews houses have no yards.
Compared to the cost of a nice hotel in London, this place is a great option. We would (and will if we return to London) definitely book this home again in the future.
Perfect stay in a very beautiful house right in the heart of South
Kensington! We would love to come again! Thank you very much Athina!
