Interaction with Guests
My manager, Magda, is always available during your stay to assist you. She also owns a rental unit in the building that is available for 2 guests if more space is desired.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience staying at Karen's condo for a week. The condo is located 4-5 miles north of town and we didn't rent a car or moped, so when we went to town each day, it cost $10 there and $10 back. I would recommend getting a car. The condo is beautifully furnished and located on the top floor of a building in a quiet neighborhood. It's a great place to get away from the hubub of the town center. The beach that is nearby is quite narrow and the water was cloudy (due to the heavy rains) and not one that we chose to spend time on. The air conditioner didn't work the first few nights, but when I connected with Karen, she connected with the property manager, and they fixed it right away. Great! Magda, the property manager, was really great and took some of our clothes to the laundry for us. The condo was clean and well outfitted. There wasn't a whole lot of water pressure, but the water was delightfully hot! We had maid service for two of the seven days we were there. There's a spectacular rooftop deck with an unbelievable view. In sum, I would recommend staying here.
I am an American living in the Austin, Texas. I visited Cozumel 10 years ago on a scuba diving excursion and fell in love (with the island, that is) and bought my condo to enjoy for future vacations . Although I will not be there to greet you, my manager, Magda, will be at the apartment upon your arrival to welcome and orient you. A native of the Yucatan peninsula, Magda has lived with her family in Cozumel for many years. She is great source of information and may be contacted throughout your stay on the island.
