Check In
  • Tromso is a beautiful city with a lot of snow in winter. We had a happy time there. Severine's place is cozy and not too difficult to find. It is also near the city centre. She is very kind and friendly.

  • Severine seems to be nice person. She gave us a hint how to make cheaper trip from airport , it was nice. Location is great, you have like 5min to the downtown by walk. We were coming back from city in the middle of the night, I think sometimes we were a bit loud having fun but as I expected there was no complains about it.

There was a few things that didn't fit to my personal expectation or I didn't find information about them here. I want to mention about it so next person can be aware of it.

This attic is old, the second bed was located in some kind of locker, the pillows without covers***. This standard for this price doesn't work for me. I had to pay for new pan due to fact that I destroyed old one by making scrambled eggs on it in wrong way*. I was sure that cleaning is included in price** so asking me for cleaning floor was a bit surprising. Sometimes there was only cold water as she informed as when we came.

We paid more than 3k NOK, so asking me for a new pan for 100NOK , complaining about some yellow stain on old sofa or sending me SMS last morning that there is vacuum on the stairs I should use to clean the flat wasn't way I would play with my clients I think.

    * After all I was told: "The only way to destroy the pan is to put it without anything on it on a very hot plate and leave it for some minutes. "

I believe you will find it as a constructive comment. All the best for you Severine.

    Response from Séverine:

Pawel was a great host. He and his friends left the flat clean. He was quiet and polite.
To answer to your comments, yes the bed in under the roof, you can see it clearly in the pictures of the flat. The pillows do have covers : we can see it in your picture actually, there are green as the duvet cover.
For the destroyed pan, you are finally saying that you've done something wrong with it. Thank you. That's part of the guarantee, if you destroy something, you have to pay for it. That would not be acceptable from me to let this damaged pan for the next guests.
For the cleaning fee, I didn't know that I was supposed to include it in the price. I just ask my guests to leave the flat as clean as they found it (everyone so far did it without saying anything). If it's not okay with you, you should have let me know and I would have clean it myself.
About the cold water, yes the flat is made for 2 persons so after 2 showers you have to wait a hour (time to the water balloon to refill with hot water).
I hope it clarifies your comments.
    Best regards

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Severine's spot. The apartment is very cosy and convenient for everything we did in Tromso. The apartment is clean, tidy and great for a short or extended stay. Severine is also a lovely person and more than willing to chat. She even met us at the bus stop to show us the way to the apartment. Very kind. If we return to Tromso, we would rebook here. Thanks again.

I'm a french girl. I just get my bachelor degree in International Business. I moved in October to Tromsø. I am babysitting a little baby for a french family. My favorite hobby is traveling. I did two humanitarian projects abroad (Burkina Faso and Moldova), a semester in an university in the USA, a 6-months internship in Barcelona and another internship in Cardiff. I used to welcome a lot of couchsurfers in my flat and now I am renting it.
