Emi's apartment in Lavapies couldn't have been more perfect for our stay in Madrid. It was comfortable and roomy, well equipped and in a great spot. Her recommendations for local places to eat and play were excellent. There were a lot of great places to eat without even leaving our neighborhood, and the big Sunday market is only a block away. We especially enjoyed walking to Casa Patas flamenco show just a few blocks from he apartment. Awesome all around. Emi was there to welcome us and took care of everything. We'd stay here again.
Our host gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. Everything was prepared to understand both the apartment and the neighborhood.
The apartment looked exactly like in the photographs.
The apartment was fantastic. Great location only ten minutes from Sol and Plaza Mayor. Three metro stops from Estadio Vincente Calderon and forty minutes from airport.
The apartment itself was spacious but also cosy. Comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. Couldn't have asked from more.
Plenty of tips and recommendations from Emi. Would love to return.
Emi was very friendly and helpful and an excellent host. The neighbourhood was very appealing being part of the very old part of Madrid. The apartment was ideal with the only issue being the location of the bed - a minor problem compared to the fully functional accommodation in all other aspects.
I and my family stayed in the apartment in beginning of January. I would say Madrid is quite cold that time - the temperature was zero or even slightly below zero in the morning.
Actually I didn't see Emi, she was outside of the city. Her friend showed me the apartment and described what is around. But Emi communicated me a few times via Airbnb messaging about what to see.
The apartment location is good - it is very central and there are two Metro stations nearby.
The apartment almost does not have windows, so sun cannot reach the rooms. This must be great summer time, but winter time I would prefer seeing sun-) The heating system works OK so we could have around +21.
The apartment has a nice bed for a couple, but we stayed with a 8-year old kid and an extra bed for her was not very good - the mattress was really hard.
The kitchen is fully equipped including dish washing machine and Nespresso.
The bathroom is a little bit dark, especially shower part, would be great to add lights there.
In general I liked the staying there, but maybe January is not the best time to be in Madrid.
Vertreten warm welcome. Nice, clean, cozy. Contains everything one needs for a pleasant stay.
Thanks for the coffee and Happy new gearbeitet, Emi. :)
