Stylish Appartment in the Glockenbachviertel

Renting out an appartment in the very heart of Munich. It has a big and light Living room which includes the fully equiped kitchen and a small cosy sleeping room and is very charming, light and silent - but very close to where all happens! It has a hardwoodfloor and is furnitured very nice.
The appartment is equipped with everything you need. You can use the kitchen to prepare your own meals, Tea and coffe is free. Towels and Bedding are included as well. There is also free W-Lan.

The area is one of the best in the city and has little cafes, bars and restaurants and little shops. It is a very relaxed and layed back neighborhood. You can take a walk to the Marienplatz passing the Viktualienmarkt in just 10 minutes. To the river (Isar) it is also just a 3 minutes walk. During summer time you can swimm there or sit there in the evening and have a glas of vine.

The subway station U2 Fraunhoferstraße is only 3 walking minutes away. From there it is 2 stops to the train station and the line also runs directly to the Messe.

We had very nice experience with Dunja. She is a great host and stayed in touch with us before our arrival and during our stay. This kind lady was there not only waiting at the apt but came down to help us carry the heavy baggages. She kept sending us messages to make sure we were ok and was so ready to provide us help at anytime :) How sweet of her! The apt is super nice and comfy in modern and simplicity style. It is very clean, spacious & well-equipped. It made us feel like home. The location is cool! It is just two blocks from the subway. Various cafes, restaurants and grocery stores around so we can easily get whatever we need. It is highly recommended to anyone who visit Munich.

Location is great for Oktoberfest! Easy 15-20 min walk to the grounds. The apartment is great and very clean. You're definitely staying in someone actual house not one they just have to rent out so it's not catered towards guests. Bed was extremely comfortable! Wish there had been a coffee/espresso maker but that wasn't a huge issue. My only complaint was the noise level of the area. My husband is a heavy sleeper so he never noticed the nightly noise, but I am a VERY light sleeper and it kept me up. So take that as you will. Great little late night restaurant called Faun right by the place - stays open till 1am and have an English menu. Random info -- 50 euro Uber ride from the airport. However Munich has great taxi service on the mytaxi app (definitely recommend downloading it for your travel!). My husband got an awesome leather lederhosen on amazon before we left the States for $70. I waited till we got to Munich to get a dirndl since all the one online in the US were very costume-like and crazy short!! If you want to look like a tourist then wear a super short dirndl (beer maid attire). The typical length is right above the knee, mid calf, or floor length. There is a place across the street that sells some but they weren't very friendly and didn't even acknowledge me when I went in. I'd suggest going to city center to get one - tons of shops and reasonably priced. I was short on time so I went to Peteranderl Trachten & Mode ((URL HIDDEN) which was about a 10 min walk from the apartment and got an authentic one for about 140 euros including the top/dress/apron and love it!! Also - Beer halls are all typically cash only so stop by an ATM beforehand!!

Dunja's apartment was in an excellent location for experiencing Munich. We were able to walk everywhere. Checking in was easy, the apartment was well equipped, and nicely decorated. Dunja also gave us some great tips for dining and shopping which was great.

As this was our very first experience with Airbnb we had a great time staying in Dunja's flat. It was a very short walk to Oktoberfest & in the most charming neighborhood. I could have sat & watched the foot traffic outside the windows all day long. Very quiet & kid friendly. Flat was clean & as expected from the photos provided. Dunja was very responsive & accommodating, especially of our crazy early departure time. We hope to be back soon!

Hi I am Dunja. I am an interior architect who loves to travel and explore different contries and cultures. I also love Munich and especially the area I live in. The Glockenbachvietel is one of the best parts of Munich. I can give you a lot of advices and point out the best spots for you to make your stay amazing.
