Excellent Starlink internet!

Lying at the border of a wild corridor, yet only 15 minutes from Missoula or the airport our cabin was skillfully crafted from giant hand-hued logs to create a sweet, delightful space. You'll find it clean and cozy, with excellent wifi, bright and airy. A lovely place for romantic escapes, sweet reunions with old friends and family and to work remotely.

The space
Due to increased bear activity I will not set up a barbecue grill. This may change, but for now it's just not possible. However it is really fun to sit outside by our new backyard wood Firepit.

This is a simple, happy, comfortable home...not another cookie-cutter stripped down hotel room. Its fun, but simple decor reflects the natural beauty and serenity of all that surrounds you. You'll feel far away from the hurried world, yet only 5 miles to the freeway, 10 miles to grocery stores, Farmers Market, Costco, museums, restaurants and breweries.

The cabin sits on a one acre meadow and although there are other homes around the property you will rarely see or hear a sound from people. We love our privacy and peace!

Grantcreek is a playground for brown and black bear families, turkeys, raccoons, and deer. It really belongs to them and you’ll sense that as you drive up and turn your back to the city. This beautiful drainage follows a year round bubbling creek and open fields with elk grazing next to cattle in season.

The quiet peaceful valley is the wrapping on the package and the cabin surrounded by mountains with sweet views is our gift. When you open the door, you'll find a spacious, yet cozy, living room, high cathedral ceilings and a lively gas fireplace. You can choose the comfortable couch/ hide-a bed with a 2" natural latex topper, or two high back arm chairs to curl up in after a long day of exploring!

On cool evenings, the fire light flickers and dances throughout the house and you may want to wear sleep masks, because the moon floods the cabin with light.

We provide linens and towels, WIFI, Smart TV with Netflicks. (No local TV.) We have a washer/dryer, with detergent, and an iron & board.

Create simple snacks or fabulous feasts in the well-equipped, thoughtfully stocked full kitchen and outdoor grill when the bears are not a problem. The bear and raccoon population will be attracted to the grease and smells so we ask that you use the tin foil provided and take the grease back inside the cabin or to the bear proof garbage can.). We ask that you let us know when you have placed smelly garbage in the bear proof can because the bears will roll it all over the yard.

The cabinets are stocked with spices and oils and just about everything you might need to cook a meal. We stock coffee and tea, quality pots and pans, knives and utensils, a blender, hand mixer, and even a crockpot!

The open floor plan allows you to chat and socialize while you cook, and a large table encourages great conversations.

There is one full bath downstairs with a walk in shower downstairs, and a HALF bath in the loft.

The open loft master bedroom features a queen sized bed (Saatva mattress), with an all season down comforter. (Alternative down upon request). Even in the middle of August, our nights are cool.
the hide-a bed is now amazingly comfortable as well with a 2" natural latex topper. (We ask that you do not open it up if it is not made up for added guests.) We can provide you with a pack and play as well upon request.

The 12 inch logs act as great natural insulators from the warm days so if you close the windows and pull the shades before 10am it rarely gets too warm inside. The ceiling fan moves the warm air down summer and winter, and we can provide other fans if you feel the need.

A freestanding closet, drawers at the base of your bed and bedside tables provide storage. The queen sofa bed is confirmed to be very comfortable as well, so whether you are upstairs or down we think you'll find both lovely to fall asleep in, and wake up to!

We do welcome children who are old enough to be safe in the house, so please contact us if you believe they are. We know how precious family time is! ***I will bring a porta crib over upon request!***

I have a nasty allergy to dog and cat dander so I can not accommodate pets. Thank you for your understanding.

We have a small table with chairs and a picnic table for your dining pleasure, as well as an outdoor freestanding fire pit. (Fire Danger Status Dependent)

We provide all the essential amenities. God has provided everything else, like the sweet natural well water, and fresh mountain air! Thank you for considering us!
My Best, Robin

Where you’ll be

Missoula, Montana, United States

We live surrounded by wildlife and we ask that you never leave garbage or food outside your door at night. Keep car windows up if there is food inside and its a good rule of thumb to just not leave anything tasty in your car. The bears and raccoons have never proven to be aggressive to this point because we are vigilant. We like to think our opening this Airbnb will not disrupt the animals that call our valley home. Deer, wild turkeys, bears are common sighted spring thru late fall, and we do have a mountain lion year round, but it is very elusive and never posed a threat to us. The bears are wild and will run away if they see you. But they are comfortable walking down the road or playing in the yard if they don’t know you are watching.

I am a retired nurse and love to take part in the busy lives of my extended family. I also enjoy writing, yoga, riding bikes, and gardening and traveling. Though I grew up in Scottsdale Arizona, I adore Montana! There truly is "No place like home" for me. My husband owns a thriving hardware/hearth/spa/ alternative energy store in Missoula. When we travel we tend to avoid the tourist traps, crowds and noise. Absolutely love exploring places off the beaten path like Alesund, Norway. We traced Grants roots and enjoyed great conversations and mind-blowing hikes! We want to live in the places we visit and not just pass by. We aren't the cruise, or fancy tour travelers, and the best part of traveling is making new friends. This is what we hope to offer you in our sweet cabin. A home, an experience and sweet memories!
Make our little home yours and our small town your fun memory! Yours, Robin

My husband and I love to travel and have been to many beautiful places, but we love this little valley more! It’s where we reconnect and rejuvenate without having to leave home.
If we are out of town when you come, a family member or friend will be available for any concerns or questions you might have.
