David and his wife are the most kindest people, much like many of the locals on the Big Island. The room is your average size apartment room in a 2 bedroom apartment with a mirror closet and plenty of informational books on Hawaii. The bathroom is just outside of the door and it's all yours for the stay. It is less than a 10 minute walk to a Public Shore beach and 15 minute walk to the tourist area. It's the perfect place for the comfortable and true local experience. David and his wife are very informative and willing to help you out with anything you need! David is an amazing cook, very kind, and loves talking which is great because I'm an introvert and love listening. He has a lot of information about the island and life in general causing us to talk for hours on end about anything. They made my stay a really enjoyable one by sharing their stories and home with me :) I would most definitely stay here again! Thank you :D
A small room whose primary function is an office, in a family home that is quite small so it can feel intrusive. The room was clean and in a good location for the area. My check in was delayed due to an issue with the water, david the host was a little slow in keeping me informed and did not apologise for the delay. Nor was he able extend my stay by a couple of hours even though he had noone coming in after me. I paid one hundred and forty dollars for one night but I believe seventy dollars would have been more appropriate. I would not stay here again as it was too small.
David is a nice trusting fellow and will willingly help you as required. You have your own bathroom, and your bedroom has a comfortable queen, but there isn't much space for other things or spreading out. You may use the kitchen, respecting David's rules to care for things.
David was a good host. You can talk with him about everything. We learn a lot of him about American and Hawaiian Culture. He could give us tipps for Big Island and the other Island.
David is a fantastic and amiable person, really enjoyed chatting with him and learned a lot of trivia about the big island. Take advantage of David and his collection of big Island books, both will come handy when you are traveling around the island. Ask what he can offer you if you are into cooking.
Great room setup, quiet neighborhood, comes with a parking space and a pool(though we didn't get to use) Would totally stay at David's if I have another chance.
Don't forget to ask about Frank!

New to airbnb, we were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, the airbed comfortable, and completely supportive for our 60+ year old bodies. We didn't use all of the amenities, however, all that appears on the listing was available to us. Important to us was cleanliness, the private bath, and the parking. The pool and hot tub were a bonus. What a great value.
David and Margo are really good, kind people. We had a 6AM flight (I Know!) so we said our goodbyes the night before. The next morning Dave was up at 3, packing us a hot breakfast, with special consideration for one vegetarian, way beyond our expectations. Mahalo Nui. We were very impressed.
David was very helpful and polite. However, the photos are slight misleading and it was an air bed, didn't have internet access and not air conditioned.
