I stayed at the house on a business trip to Mountain View. The room was absolutely fantastic. Lots of space, impeccably clean and a really nice bathroom.
Svetlana, the host, was very considerate and made sure at every step of the way that everything was working well for me.
The area around the house is very nice on top of the hills at Redwood City, I'd recommend a GPS to find it if you don't know the area though.
I would highly recommend this place and will hopefully visit again on my next trip.
Svetlana is a very gracious host, with a great place to offer in Redwood City. It is spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The location is fantastic for access to various points in the Silicon Valley. Communications were very good, from the point of booking the space to checking out.
I stayed in the honeymoon suite while traveling for work. Everything went off without a hitch, and the room is large (very large) with easy private access. Didn't get to try the pool.
John and Svetlana own a beautiful home in the rolling hills of Redwood City. The check-in process was hurried because we were delayed by Friday traffic, but we soon learned that we were staying in the downstairs master suite, had full access to the home, and that they were leaving for the weekend. The suite was very comfortable with a cable tv and large bathroom with double sinks. The walk out to the beautiful pool is just outside of the room and the water was nice and warm in the mornings. There was great access to a washer and dryer. There was no community food so we bought food for the refrigerator and figured out how to use the coffee maker. We also learned that we were not alone - there are at least 2 permanent borders in the house and 1 in the poolside cottage. We met 2 of them and they were quite nice. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The location also has great access to 280 for trips either into the city or towards Santa Cruz and the ocean.
Beautiful home, great time swimming and watching World Cup on big screens :) and very nice hosts.
I had a wonderful time at Svetlana's and john's house. I was in Palo Alto for work and all hotels were sold out. While a car is probably a prerequisite to commuting between Redwood City and Palo Alto (I wasn't that smart), I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet time away. And especially in summer (again I came in the fall, my bad!) it is the perfect get away with the pool outside. The seers you're likely to run into at night are of course an extra plus!

We are a married couple who enjoy entertaining and traveling. Svetlana is originally from Moscow, Russia, and John was born and grew up in Berkeley, CA. We have had people from all over the world stay with us. We have a large house with a cottage in the back yard. We have plenty of support for start-up entrepreneurs . We have professional office facilities, like printers, copiers, conference table. We have a couple of full time tenants that are experts in IT, finance, start-ups, software development, real estate. Plus we have a lot of connections with VC's, investors and movers and shakers in the Valley.
We also have a house on the water in Lake Tahoe. Both are available on Airbnb
