Paul and his family were wonderful, warm hosts. They had gone out of their way to make Jenny and me feel welcome. The apartment was clean, there were a few snacks ready for us, and the accomodation was really comfortable.
Their response to any queries was super quick and courteous. They were very knowledgeable about their town and helped us find our way to the attractions.
I would certainly come back to stay again.
Thanks, Paul, Lucy and Kimberley.
I had a wonderful time staying at Paul's house. He and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. Paul even drive us into town when we first arrived and gave great suggestions for where to dine, places to visit, and activities to do. Would recommend to family and friends!
Paul and Kimberly are fantastic hosts! We had a super nice and relaxing stay at their pad in Turrialba. Paul was super helpful in showing us around the town, giving us low down what was happenin, food, music, hiking, rafting, etc. The farmers market in Turrialba fantastic by the way. The pad is very comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom and kitchen are perfect ceiling height for most, unless you're a basketball player;) We would certainly stay at Paul's again.
We have had a long travelling day when we arrived at Pauls place. We've thought the house was more close to nature and I think we didn't read the advertisement good enough. We are tall people and the basement is at some places not high enough for us to stand up straight. Paul mentioned this in his advertisement. Paul and Lucy are very helpful people and Turrialba has a lot to offer.
Our stay in Turrialba at Paul's place was great. He and his family were very friendly and welcoming. Paul took us into to town when we arrived to show us around, he lent us a bird book (we are birders), he called to places we wanted to visit to get information for us, and he gave us good directions to avoid a nasty diversion on Hwy 2 because of a landslide. The apartment was comfortable - as described it had a small kitchen, bedroom, sitting area and dining area. There is a big screen TV with cable. We did a load of laundry in the family's machine and dried it in the dryer. One thing to note is that the ceiling in the bathroom is quite low - fine for us but would be difficult for basketball players!! This stay was great value for money - we paid more for less in other places in Costa Rica. If you want to visit CATIE, Guayabo National Monument, Rancho Naturalista or go white-water rafting this is a good option.
Paul made us feel very at home.We had a car accident en route to Turrialba and Paul offered his assistance as translator, which was beyond the call of host.We only stayed one night, but the space is huge and the neighbourhood is quiet, and close to the store and a great soda.Thank you Paul and Lucy.Floyd and Anne Marie
Turrialba is a beautiful area. The mountains are speyctacular, and the flora is stunning. Paul's place is right in the middle of it all with easy access to the university, botanical gardens, and the town. The apartment was clean and comfortable and well equipped for independent living. It is in a quiet residential area that is safe. There is a great restaurant right on the corner (Cocina de Betty). Our only regret is Paul and his family were traveling themselves at the time of our visit.
